Reviews of Michelles Restaurant

Bad food, bad service, gross restaurant. Was driving around with my girlfriend, looking for a new place to try. Drove by Michelle's and thought it looked very nice. They have a big fancy sign and a nice looking building. We went in, and immediately noticed that the place was nearly empty (on a Saturday night), except for maybe a dozen very old people. This should have been enough of a red flag (very old people seem to love terrible restaurants). After getting seated in a rickity old booth with mishapen seats, we waited about 9 minutes to get our drink order taken. Then it was about another 12 minutes to get the drinks. My gf got the wrong drink. Another 10 minutes to get that corrected. I ordered pork chops. They were chewy pieces of rawhide that were overcooked on the outside, yet somehow RAW on parts of the inside. Served with the lamest potatos and sad cup of watery applesauce. Also, the bread basket contained only icky cinnamon-raisin bread. For dinner. The place is half-bakery, and they brought grody raisin bread to us for dinner. That sounds yummy dipped in some soup. Ack. We were expecting some delicious rolls or something. GF's food was ok, just a simple chicken pita wrap. The niceness of the building on the outside is misleading, as the inside is a combination of dirty and overwhelming in its decor. It looks like a roller disco was turned into a soup kitchen and then turned into a weird museum for stuffed animals, dolls, and other bizarre junk, and then turned into a restaurant/bakery. Weirder still, my gf developed a terrible rash on her face and most of her body in the time we were there. I can't prove that it was due to the restaurant... but it's the only time I've ever seen her break out like that. Oh, and the bathroom was also filthy. And the prices weren't very reasonable, considering the food and horrible service. In summary, this is absolutely one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to in my life, and I've been to a great deal of awful restaurants all over this country. Just a rotten embarrassment of a restaurant. An utter freakshow.
