Firehouse Subs

Walked into FH on Russell and without even being greeted was asked of I called an order in. I said no and was PROMPTLY told there is a 30 minute wait. I asked to place an in person order and was told yes. Bad business in my opinion and rude; oh I forgot to mention I was the only customer @ a little before noon 12 Feb 2021 and I was in uniform. I get there are peak busy times and with COVID there's an increase of call-in or online orders, but does that really justify turning people away? The restaurant was not very tidy and there no hand written signs on the door "No Ice" overall I just have to rate 1 star and I will not be back.

I have a mixed opinion about this restaurant. I love their community involvement as well as the staff is very kind and masked. They have removed tables etc to ensure social distancing which I like. The food however is hit or miss. I've had great fresh sandwiches and I've had sandwiches that were meh. I will say that mist of my experiences have been good. And when they weren't, the manager made sure it was corrected. I will go back. It's at least with a shot.

When I called to place my order the person taking the order sounded bored and rushed me by asking anything else before I finished letting them know my order. The hook and ladder was cold and the bread stale, I asked for a fully involved sub but with the onions on the side- guess that was asking for too much cause they were in the sub. Not worth the $ 9.04 The steamer was Luke warm and the bread was stale. Not worth the $9.14 We used love our firehouse subs .... We have decided to take our business elsewhere.

There was nothing wrong with the food, more less the less then stellar 3 stars is do to the fact we went in a full hour before closing time and every employee shook there head and looked as thou we just hit there mom or they where just told there puppy died...I could understand if we came in 5 minutes to close but we where there a full hour before close! A simple smile and welcome to firehouse would have gotten a 5 star rating!!
