Sonny's Bbq

While I typical cannot say enough about Sonny’s food and service, today was a disappointment. I tried their curbside pickup for the first time. The online order form was easy to use and simple to complete. The information given said my order would be complete within 20 minutes. As my drive is only 15 minutes, I arrived close to my pickup time and pulled into a slot. As the parking lot was busy, I was prepared for possible delay, and was okay with it. What I was not prepared for was the young lady who answered the phone. While I understand that working customer service can be difficult, even exhausting, and people can wear you down. That should not, however, compromise how you treat every customer. This young lady was smug, condescending and rude. I thought I asked a perfectly legitimate question (when she told me my food wasn’t ready, I asked what that meant in terms of my getting my food) to which she clucks her tongue and repeats that my food wasn’t ready. Again, I ask what that means exactly and she says it slower - “Your. Food. Isn’t. Ready.” When I ask how long it might be, she says they’re fixing it, it just isn’t ready yet. To which I respond, that was my original inquiry, to which she says Okay, whatever and then asks my space number and hangs up. Management needs to work on her phone courtesy. JS!

Started off with a nice quiet evening with good service and food. Then before we were finished they set a group of people directly behind me. One of the guest was so close that I could smell his aftershave, made me wonder how safe I was with this pandemic going on. There was only inches between the back of our heads.

Nice looking location... Friendly greetings from several employees upon entering... New Brisket eggrolls were great, super tender brisket... I just had salad bar and it was excellent, fresh and chilled veggies and dressings...Chicken salad is just soooo tasty too... Service was a bit slow and we had to ask for silverware twice... Other than that, a good meal....
