Galloway Diner

I have been hearing good feedback for this restaurant but only had the chance to dine recently. My husband and I ordered dinner special which included soup, salad, entree, dessert & coffee or tea. It was actually a good deal! I ordered chicken Valencia & Salmon for my other half. We also ordered calamari for appetizer which cooked how we want it.. Both meals were enjoyable and we even had leftovers to enjoy for another meal. This dinner costed us around $60+ tip

Went for Sunday breakfast and found the restaurant to be crowded but not packed. Service was quick and helpful, I noticed six wait staff working the floor at the time which was a good sign, staff was able to be attentive not overly stretched. Food was hot, portions were good but overall value was just ok. With prices increasing across the board it's becoming more difficult to find that sweet spot between making a profit and bankruptcy. With so many restaurants operating on razor slim margins, Kristy's is doing well in the breakfast category. Having a liquor license can only benefit them compared to the other diners and chains in the area.

My meal was good (great tasting panini), but they didn't inform me of a dish running out before I picked up my take out order. Maybe writing down more contact information when taking a customers order could help with that. I had to wait for a burger to be made & it wasn't accurate after waiting for it. Just disappointed after that. Two strikes so far and don't think I'll be going for a third. They did refund for the burger though which was appreciated.

The Easter Buffet needed to have more of a variety in terms of the Desserts. Pies, maybe Cookies or Ice Cream being served in Bowls. The Food should also be Hot & ready for each Seating. A few Entrees were barely warm. We were never asked if we wanted a Mamosa during our visit, and at the point when we were clearly finished eating, we had to ask for Coffee to have with our Dessert.

Very upset with this place used to come here very often with my family…. tonight was very different though we sat down our waitress immediately took our drink order came back immediately after and was annoyed we didn't have our food orders ready yet… we just sat down probably a minute ago if that. I am a very picky eater who is allergic to a lot of food items so I thought just ordering mac n cheese would be a safe and easy option for me. The waitress immediately got nasty saying I wasn’t under the “kid age requirements” and I am NOT allowed to order that and I will have to order another item. Ended up with dry turkey on white toast.
