Huddle House

We always try to stop at the huddle house when are traveling down south. We stopped at this particular one for breakfast. The food was very good. The service was a little slow. They were very short staffed and made it a point to let us know that. The building itself was a little dated and needed some upgrading. All in all it was a good experience and the most important thing is the food was very good.

The service here was absolutely awful. Our server didn’t even come to us at first, we sat for 10 minutes before a different server came and took our drink order. Then about another half hour before we got our food and it was all cold and disgusting. Instead of bussing the tables everyone was just standing around talking. Half the tables in there were covered in dirty dishes just sitting there. Our server was rude and highly unprofessional as well. As a server myself, I would NOT recommend stopping here. It’s not worth it at all.

Visited at around 1pm on Mar 20th 2022 Environment was great until the next cook came on. All I heard at that point was the cook complaining about the previous shift and pitching a fit that they didn't complete their tasks. This would be fine if she was talking to the supervisor in the back but she chose to do it standing right behind the bar for all the customers to hear. She even stated that she wasn't doing it so there would be no mashed potatoes to be served. One of the waitresses went and made them I assume seeing as the customers would be the ones to suffer from lack of work. The entire time I was there the cook had a bad attitude and it made for a very disruptive and negative environment. As long as she is not there then I would recommend but as long as her attitude stays like that if I ever come back I will just turn around and leave. Waitstaff we're all great and did their best to accommodate the customers.
