Cracker Barrel

Awesome hospitality, friendliest folks I've came across in 2 years, food hot and fresh (thank you kitchen staff), was very pleased. Want to call out James, his professionalism from the start was amazing. This gentleman was kind and caring. Haven't been a fan of Cracker Barrel, but this experience at this Walterboro, SC kinda changed my mind. Other faculty would learn a lesson from this store. I would Ike folks to know I hardly ever give out 5 stars, but this time was amazing. Thank you so much for a delightful meal and service.

Cracker Barrel is my favorite restaurant chain. It was very disappointing to find one of their restaurants to be sub-par. We were seated with orders taken quickly. However, it took more than a few moments to receive our beverages and a long time to receive our food. The corn muffins, which I normally love, were so unattractive I didn't try one. I tried the pinto beans. Even though there were tiny bits of ham in the beans, no salt or other seasonings were detected. The beans were flavorless and left uneaten. The fried okra was edible and tasted ok. The texture was a bit off, probably from holding it a while after it was fried. The fried apples were edible and tasted fine, but it was obvious that they had been reheated or held a good while. My baked potato was ok too. It appeared to have been baked in an oven then reheated later which, while not optimal, is understandable to make service more efficient. However, as stated earlier, service was slow. Even though the staff at this restaurant seemed very nice, I couldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We stopped on our way to FL at about 6:30PM on a Mon. It was busy. There was a considerable wait but there are so many beautiful places outside to wait the time went fast. The food was great... Picky BF loved the chicken pot pie as I did the sugar cured ham. The best part was our server, Madison! We stayed overnight in our toy hauler RV, at about 60+ feet bumper to bumper, we scored a great spot along the outer lot. We were too long for their RV parking & cars occupied several of the 4 or 5 designated RV spaces. We will stop again on our way through and will ask for Madison as he was attentive, upbeat and just all around fun!! We also went back in for breakfast the next morning.... No wait, great food & service.... 👍

Waitress was great! Kind, courteous and all. This place has no management as for as we could tell. The Hostess podium was not attended to. Employee in the Country Store did not help. They had no customers but stayed behind the counter yelling that help was on the way maybe 10 min. Food was the worst of all the Cracker Barrels we have eaten at over the years. 1st time here while travelling. They have a Gold mine here with all the people in line and packed house. It was an early dinner 5ish. No condiments on table none provided. Food tasted like prepackaged stuff that was microwaved. The 5 star review people must have lucked out on a good Day.
