I would definitely recommend the tram ride to the top! Its amazing up there! Very photogenic & beautiful views. Its very high elevation so it can be hard to breathe some! Its very worth it though! Its very neat to see the wildlife! The Mountains in the distance are very beautiful too!
We had breakfast eggs benedict side of bacon. We walked around the foot rails for a couple hours witnessed unbelievable views. Well worth the money to come up and hang out at 8200 feet. They have a restaurant and a bar and all kinds of cool drinkies.
Staff was friendly and quick as they could with the amount of people there to eat. Food was superb and the gophers running around were just adorable. View was to die for.

The food was good and the beers were good, but there are ground squirrels all over the place. They are not afraid of you. I had one try crawling up my leg. Yikes. It kind of ruins the experience for me.
I rode the tram to the top of My Howard, I do not like heights, so it took some effort on my part to get up there. My wife, Sue, would have loved the ride, but she passed away this past January after 41.5 years of marriage. Now, about the Summit Grill, we get to the top, I decide I need a beer after my trip up, the first thing I see on the menu was, A Beer Named Sue, it made my day and reinforced the fact that Sue was with me.
