First off, I LOVE that this restuarant buys local, so extra star for that! I went here for my birthday dinner (2 people). Staff were polite, ambience was welcoming, neat, beautiful, and giving a great retro vibe! Nice to take pictures and not too busy.
The food was good as well. Everything but the steak was great; a part of the steak still had pinkish liquid (I know it's not blood) coming out which is weird because we ordered it cooked "medium well" and the sauce on it was not the best either. It just did not taste right to me. The spinach served with it looked better than it tasted. It just was not cooked right, but the onions beside it were yummy.
On the other hand, the fish and fries was an AMAZING meal and the salad that came with it was oh so yummy! I really wish it was not so small. did I mention that the mash potatoes were a hit too? Definitely a good choice.
Overall, it's a great place to eat with a nice ambience and fair pricing. I will visit again.

My first time at a Silver Diner, the food and service were both great. I would say the wait is kinda long on Sundays because they are pretty popular. But its easy to see why, definitely has a local vibe, they also serve local food and have healthy and vegan options (rare for a 60s themed diner). Has a nice modern touch to the menu while keeping the ambiance of a retro diner. Had a good time and hope to visit again soon.

When I road trip I do my best to find unique restaurants to visit. I ran across Silver Diner and wanted to give it a shot. Upon walking in and looking at the menu it gave off a chain restaurant kind of vibe. The menu itself was huge and overwhelming. I do appreciate the huge focus on health they seem to embody.
I decided upon the triple pickled fried sandwich. The flavor itself was delicious, but it was extremely dry (I was very happy to have a glass of water). I also decided to get sweet potato fries in place of normal fries, there I was not disappointed!
My mother ordered a side of crispy bacon instead of the coleslaw, but ended up with no bacon and the coleslaw anyway. We had to ask the server about it and he took the bacon off the bill.
Overall it was not the best restaurant I've been to, but it was not the worst, and I would not in any hurry to go back.

Amazing food - spectacular service! Dining out as a vegetarian with my meat eating friends and family often means I’m choosing from the appetizer menu or getting a bean burger (again). Not here! I chose the fried cauliflower sandwich over one of several unique and healthy salads. Because I could but you can choose something healthy and delish like I might next time - my point is YOU’VE GOT OPTIONS!!!! The portions are hearty! My dining companion got a 1/2 & 1/2 combo soup and sandwich and she couldn’t even finish it! But I can’t leave a review without mentioning Alecia. I have heard so much about staffing problems but they were well staffed and Alicia was a gem 💎. My guess is that they appreciate their staff and pay them well. But Alecia was above and beyond! This was my first visit and she gave me plenty of time to check out the menu, answered all my questions, took care of me while I ate (plenty of napkins, drink refilled etc) and she did it with an upbeat attitude and a smile.

It can be a little frustrating to see an empty restaurant with 30+ min waiting times. Followed by slow service and wrong order entry at the bar.
But the food and mimosas good.

Came in to visit family, from Chicago and we needed breakfast. This seemed to be a popular establishment so we stopped in. The breakfast wasnt bad. I ordered an omelet, my issue was I requested cheese and I received a cold peelable slice; im used to it being melted but things may be different here. Tried a mocha coffee, was bitter but its ok, I had it replaced with an orange juice which was great. The breakfast meat was wonderful. The waiter was very professional and attentive to us; great service. Clean restaurant, inside and out.

Got the Classic BLT with a side salad. The sandwich itself was good, the coleslaw was strange to say the least. And the salad was basic but fine. The service was good though. Also way too pricey, paid 12.99 for a sandwich I could easily make at home for much cheaper. Another thing I do get about the place is they are set on being 'healthy'. And have so much nutrition information on their menu it's a little overwhelming. If you are in any recovery (or just aren't looking to care for that stuff), I don't suggest this place.

Love the Blue Plates at Silver Diner in Waldorf during the weekdays Monday- Friday 7am to 11am. You can catch a really good breakfast at a very reasonable price. First off they include coffee and a small juice. My favorite is the 2 pancakes 2 eggs and two pieces of meat for $10.99 here in Waldorf. They also have omelette and French toast options. I love the sit outside area as well. Beautiful on a nice day. This is one of the breakfast spots on my go-to list in Waldorf.
