We do take out a lot. Excellent. Always fresh, no msg, never had a bad meal. Wonderful Family run business! Their new place has tables for eat in!
I 'Like It', but ..... Above average for this type of Chinese take out. but you have to search through the dishes to find the ones you like.
The Pan Fried Dumplings, Kung Pao Chicken and General Tsao's Chicken are all good. I also like the Hot and Sour Soup. General Tsao's Shrimp, which you find only on the special menu on the wall, is very good, but way too expensive to order except for a special occasion.
Avoid the Sweet and Sour dishes which have a gloppy, overly sweet red-dyed sauce with no hint of sour. The "meat" is mostly batter. Too bad, because good Sweet and Sour is usually one of my favorites. The Cold Sesame Noodles are virtually inedible.
The Daily Specials are the best value.
I love and will always love China Fun in Waitsfield. Delicious, quick but not compromised, and fun interactions with the staff/owners. Quality is on point with the price, I have never had to wait long nor had anything ever incorrect.

If you’ve been around Vermont long, you know that most of the Chinese food on offer is inedible. Like not even worth complaining about. The good news is: China Fun is predictable, enjoyable, and totally worth it. It’s not going to win any awards, but it’s exactly what takeout American Chinese food is supposed to be. Highly recommended if you’ve got those cravings!
Food is always good. The guy on the phone is quite sassy. I think he prefers you give the quantity, then the menu item number when ordering. I just wish they would make egg foo young again.
Very good Chinese food at a very reasonable price. Been here about 20 times. Always decent food. Very surprised at some of the negative reviews.
