Genki Sushi

We arrived at lunchtime and were seated promptly. The seater was very friendly and took us to a table that was quiet. After seated, the music suddenly got really loud, and was full of static and breaks (we thought that they were in the process of adjusting their sound system, but it continued) . After about 3 minutes we asked the server if something could be done about the blasting irritating static, and he brought over Kyle, the manager who took care of the situation immediately. He also returned sever times to make sure we were ok. He said that it was important that we had a great dining experience, and that he was there to do that. We were really impressed by his attitude and how he took immediate action. This combined with the delicious food there put this location as a favorite. Our server Chris, was also really good. Our water glasses and needs were always taken care of. All in all, what might have been a bad dining experience, turned out to be really pleasant because of the excellent service.

Lots of choices. Family of 8. We minute wait. Prices reasonable. Portion sizes good.. slam a staple. Kids had cal roll, tofu salad, volcano roll, spicy call roll, gyoza, avocado roll, and topped with mochi. Adults had udon, calamari. Edemame, tofu salad, gyoza. Vegetable tempura, sashimi, poke bowl...

Sushi was amazing and my mom, dad, brother, his wife, my two nieces, and I sat at a table across from each other. We ordered through the portable tablet device hanging near the conveyor belt and when the food came we grabbed the food and had to press a yellow button near the tablet to return the tray the food came in. They count the plates that the sushi comes in later when its time to get the check. It was kinda loud but then again its always that way in restaurants. Sushi is always fresh in Hawaii. Total cost for 7 of us was $170 with 7 black plates, 5 red, 2 white, 2 green, 1 gray, 1 blue, 2 spongebob popsicles and drinks. Also whatever you cant eat, you can ask for a box to take the extra food home.

The wait is always long. But, to me, this is not a bad sign. It only means that the demand for Genski Sushi is high n that food is great, otherwise why would there be such a long line everyday? So, yes, its a great sushi place. Once you're in, there is no waiting anymore. Food starts rolling out with8n minutes of submitting your orders. I highly recommend this place.
