Very friendly and wonderful service. We arrived a few minutes after they opened and there were already others ahead of us. Good sign.
Loco moco was maybe one of the best I've had. Gravy and patty was flavorful! They offer onions and mushrooms but I like my loco moco as is.
French toast was divine and practically melted in my mouth. Great portion!
Breakfast sandwich with spam was on point, too.
There are a few 2-person tables outside, but we were on our way to an appointment.
Plenty of parking spots in front, but difficult to exit since you back out into main traffic.
Number 1 Loco Moco on kauai. Rice wasn't overcooked, hamburger was on point and brown gravy was delicious. Wife liked the french toast too.
Only reccomendation is more seating for dine in.
Stopped here after a hike in Waimea Canyon for lunch and WOW. We had the crispy chicken sandwich and the mushroom Swiss burger. Very reasonably priced and we had one of those completely silent meals because we were enjoying the delicious flavors too much. Highly recommend!!!
We really enjoy this meal! The food took a little while to get to us, but they were also slammed with customers (which is a good sign and that’s what drew us in initially). And OHHHHH my goodness, the banana bread…. Best on island, 1000%!! Highly recommended!
The BEST meal we had in Kauai!! We got a cheeseburger, loco moco and banana bread, everything is so so good. We had to come back to get another banana bread because my husband kept talking about it haha!!! Its incredible food, there is no place to sit inside. Its a take out place with small tables outside. Ginas food just made our day ❤️
great little spot to try hawaiian dishes, me and my friends ate a loco moco for the first time and enjoyed it. next time we’ll try the pumpkin crunch which they are known for!
A+ cheeseburger deluxe. Best burger I bought on Kauai. Nothing fancy but wow what a burger. Local vibes.
Delicious and such nice owners!!!
The chicken katsu was the best I’ve had. Husband really enjoyed the hamburger loco moco.
Lava burger was fire.
Gina cooked everything fresh, made to order with a super friendly demeanor.
Be prepared to take it to go or sit in the sun in front of the shop.
I'm always torn about writing about my favorite restaurants because the more great reviews they have, the busier they get...
Well, Gina's is my family's favorite breakfast spot on Kauai, hands down. I myself seek out good loco moco on any island, and Gina's is at the top in my opinion (tied with Sunrise Cafe on Maui). The freshly sauteed mushrooms and onions really make this stand out.
But if you come here just for the loco moco, you're missing out. The other dishes from French toast to the taro burger and waffle fries are all excellent.
Ok, and maybe the most important thing to get here (besides the masubi, coconut hand pie, banana bread, and various other treats) is the Pumpkin Crunch. If you like pumpkin pie, this is going to just ruin you. You've been warned.
