Morimoto Maui

Apps awesome. Service very good. Open table screwed up the reservation, be aware. Some of the best we’ve had. The fish carpaccio was beautifully presented and flavor was amazing. The short ribs were so tender they slid off the bone and had excellent flavor. The sushi was mid; spend the money on more apps.

Amazing Views + Great Service+ Fantastic Food! The staff was so accommodating and recommended some of the best dishes on the menu. I LOVED the Poke Tacos as well as the Local Fish! There was a manager (Erica) working who has such a professional demeanor and she is so knowledgeable about the restaurant offerings. Our server checked in frequently and was very personable yet professional. I would recommend Morimoto to anyone visiting Maui! This was the best birthday ever!

Awesome food and service. This restaurant is in a resort and you are seated just off the pool so there are people swimming as you are eating your dinner. The wait staff was excellent and they described every dish as it was delivered to the table. The sushi was top notch. We had the dish that won his first iron chef and it was well worth it. The blackened cod was superior. The views at this resort are unbelievable and you should reserve around sunset. You won't be disappointed. We strolled the beach after dinner and got some really nice pictures.

Celebrated my birthday at Morimoto and the ambiance was beautiful. We saw whales breaching the water from our table. The waiter was kind and very helpful. Despite being near the pool, it was very quiet. We came for lunch because we did not book a dinner reservation in time (they fill up fast). The food was plated beautifully and the cocktails were amazing. Some of the sushi was better than others. But overall a nice experience.

What can you say? It’s Morimoto. Excellence to the max. Sticky Ribs were fall off the bone and delicious!! Fish carpaccio was one of my favorites. The Toro Tartare. OMG. Indescribable and delicious. We ordered some Oh-toro, Chu-Toro and the chef’s choice sushi with one maki and it was very good! The A-5 Wagyu never disappoints. We also had the Hamakua mushrooms and they were amazing! Finished it off with the chocolate bomb (video below). It was amazing also! Presentation, taste, quality. All top notch as one would expect from the restaurant owned by the iron chef Morimoto.

This restaurant is has the best sunset views in Maui great setting of few tables outdoor with the view of beach sunset and the coconut trees. Please do make a reservation if want to get there for sunset. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They explained various dishes if we have any dietary restrictions. We ordered couple of drinks and food. The sushi was fresh and top notch. The shrimp tempura had two different sauces which was also great. Last but not the least the masaladas were the best our server suggested and we loved them. Love this restaurant would definitely go back.

Sitting right by one of the swimming pools makes a very welcoming and relaxed environment. For a top restaurant, Morimoto delivered in every aspect it was expected. The ambience was great, quiet and chill by the pool, our server was very attentive and the service and food preparation were fast. The tables also felt sufficiently private and separated from each other. My recommendations on food. The grilled mushrooms were exquisite, the oysters and the edamame, too. The sushi was super fresh and they do have a great variety of fish.

Beef carpaccio was def star of the night- ratio of yuzu, soy, and ginger was so on point. A la carte sushi was quite pricey (price on the menu is per 1 piece only). We got 10 pcs+ 1 maki combo for $50, which is better value. The sushi tastes surprisingly decent! Great presentation for the tuna tartare, but it actually tastes quite fishy. For its price, I was expecting something better.

What a beautiful setting for dinner. Try to reserve your time right around sunset. Everything we are was delicious.. one of our favorites is the sticky ribs. Sushi is fresh.. and don’t forget to try the duck fried rice. We also had wonderful servers who were helpful with the menu and anything we needed.
