Vandy's Grille

First, I’d like to say that the staff and service at Vandy’s is exceptional. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable on my dietary restrictions (celiacs). However, this is at least our third or fourth time giving the food a chance. Each time we have sent our meals back because they are inedible. My husband ordered the Tennessee hot fried chicken sandwich (pictured). He took one bite and couldn’t eat anymore. It was a frozen, thin, dry breaded chicken patty that was drenched in DRY seasoning. So much seasoning you could literally blow it off. It looked repulsive and tasted repulsive. I ordered a $16 burger that came out with a still frozen gluten free bun and a clearly pre frozen patty. If I’m paying $16 for a burger, at least make sure the patty is freshly made not frozen. McDonald’s makes a better burger. Unfortunately, we will not be ordering food from there again. I think we have learned our lesson and given the restaurant enough chances to get their kitchen in order. Just doesn’t look like it’s ever going to happen.

I had my wedding reception dinner at Vandy’s Grille/Island View Golf Club. It was such a great experience, and Chelsea was wonderful to work with! I had to change my date 3x due to Covid, and they were always very flexible and easy going with any changes. The space looked great, the food was fantastic, and the staff was very attentive. I highly suggest Vandy’s Grille/Island View Golf Club for a reception venue!

I attended a banquet there recently and have eaten at Vandy's prior as well. The service has been fantastic every time. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and clean. The food was bland (stake was overcooked and the chicken was dry and didn't have much flavor for Chicken Kiev). Maybe it was an off night. Either way, I would say give it a whirl and experience it for yourself.

Made reservations for our 42nd anniversary expressing that we wanted this to be a special occasion. When we arrived there was no receptionist and told to seat ourselves. There were several tables that had nice views but they hadn't been bussed and we're a total mess. We were disappointed but stuck it out figuring it couldn't get worse. We placed our drink order which took nearly 15 minutes to get... The bartender was busy trying to impress one of her patrons. The food was good even if the selection was VERY limited. We thought that our waitress was a bit new and she had roughly alf of the tables to wait on. To say that we were disappointed is really an understatement. The place really doesn't live up to its hype. We won't be going back anytime soon and certainly not for a special occasion.

Trying to do 3 1/2 stars. We were met at the door by a very drunk man who was leaving. This is a sports bar on a golf course, not very family freindly. The waiter was awesome! The Bruschetta tower was great, but the rest of the food was so so. Steak was supposed to be coffee rubbed and it was pepper blacked, veggies were swimming in oil. Prices were ok, better half wants to try it again. Great views!
