This place is a hidden gem of creative, organic, healthy & sometimes adventurous cuisine from around the globe. The food is delicious. It is carry out for the moment mainly. Rooted Spoon catered our wedding and brought our crazy "BBQ" idea to life. When looking for caterers we were looking for a company that would allow for some customization in the menu because we had a very specific burgers and sandwiches idea in mind. Dani Lind at Rooted Spoon allowed us to create our own menu while offering suggestions of her own. She and her team grilled everything on site which added to the vibe of the outdoor barbecue. Our guests absolutely LOVED our food and it was probably the most talked about part of our day. "Definitely not the traditional, blah wedding food!" Along with being an incredibly talented chef Dani is amazingly kind and super fun! At the conclusion of our wedding weekend, she literally felt like family.

Stopped in for their Friday night tacos- yum! My parents tried the trio of tacos and it was a toss up between the chicken and the fish for most delicious! I had the salad, and it was also tasty. The cocktails were awesome. We really enjoyed the vibe and decor. The staff were a highlight- all friendly and knowledgeable. A great place to eat and spend time with folks, if you're in Viroqua on the right nights (only open certain nights).

Dani and crew never fail to produce the most awesome dining experience in our region! Whether it be curbside, or dining in ( hopefully that will happen next year!). We miss that camaraderie but appreciate, far more than words can say, the opportunity to continue to enjoy their wonderful, locally sourced, amazing cuisine, and their excellent choices for wine to accompany the meals. As a dear friend to us all used to say "To the day", Dani, et al! 🥂🥰

Having delicious food at our wedding was a must and Dani and Rooted Spoon did not disappoint! From our initial conversations to the wedding day she was a pleasure to work with- creative, flexible and full of energy! We wanted a menu to really wow our guests and Dani was fantastic in helping us come up with a stellar menu. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was- even our most discerning “foodie” guests. She is a talented chef and it comes through in the details of the menu.
