I can't say enough about this wonderful Italian restaurant. I had such a hard time deciding from the menu because everything looked amazing. Sal is the owner and chef and he makes almost everything from scratch. This place reminds me of the small restaurants that I visited, during my numerous vacations in Italy. Meals are supposed to be relaxing and fun. It's got a great happy hour at the bar and the floor decor is very attractive and comfortable. I loved the pillows on the benches.

Absolutely wonderful meal! Our first visit and we will be back to try more dishes off of the menu. The complementary bread is homemade, as is the mozzarella caprese and many of the pasta dishes. We had the spinach ravioli with sage butter sauce and a fettuccine dish with a white wine cream sauce, mushroom and chicken, followed by cannolis for dessert. There is also a great happy hour special on wine from 5-7 which was unexpected. The chef/owner came out twice to speak with us and we felt very comfortable and welcomed. He’s a master of his craft and you can taste the love in every bite. You won’t be disappointed!

My husband and I went for dinner Thursday night. The food was amazing, the service spectacular and the chef is a gem. We both had the specials. My husband’s lobster ravioli was the best I’ve tasted. I had the Chicken a la vodka in the cheese bowl. Wow! What flavor!!!! The dish was tossed in a cheese wheel. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Honest, authentic, & delicious Italian food. While the menu is great, the chef specials are "where it's at," especially the seafood. Pasta and bread are fresh made in-house. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The best part is the chef/owner who is personally engaged to ensure each guest has a delicious meal and wonderful experience. A hidden gem in Great Neck. My wife and I went to Pasta e Pani for the first time since new owners took over. We loved the original owners and were anxious to see how things changed. We were absolutely impressed with the entire experience. The wait staff was very informative, quite pleasant, and extremely attentive without being overbearing. Salvatore, I believe the owner, greeted us when we sat down and checked on us a couple more times. The food was excellent, with homemade pasta and nice sauces. We were treated as if we were regulars. Our experience was great, and I know yours will be, too. We will return often.

We were driving trying to find a new spot to eat. We came across this little place and let me tell you... the food is absolutely amazing. THE BEST RISOTTO I have EVER had. The homemade pastas.... the bread...The cheesecake is amazing. I can not express to you enough...if you have not tried the food here... you must. Maria was so sweet (she is also the one who made the cheesecake 😉). We were checked on consistently to make sure we were enjoying our food. The staff was also great. Our waitress... knew the menu and what to recommend. We just went with the specials for the day/week. Our very first visit and we will definitely come back. Thank you Maria and staff. If I could give more then 5 stars... I would.

Pasta E Pani is a genuine Italian restaurant in the heart of Virginia Beach. It is a small, intimate setting which is great for a date or small get-togethers. The food is always made with great quality and care, and the owners are incredibly friendly and will walk around from time to time to make sure everyone is enjoying their meal. My friends and I love it so much, we have made this our monthly meetup spot. I typically order the La Siciliana pizza with a red wine of my choice, and ALWAYS get the Cappuccino Bamba for dessert. If you're a resident of VB or just visiting, I highly recommend this restaurant.
