Angie's was originally a class project for culinary school - research the location, schedule an interview with the owner, if possible, and do a presentation... I am so thrilled that I did! Angie's has become part of my life in VA Beach. The owner Ken is so incredibly kind, attentive to both his customers and employees- even the suppliers and delivery people. You can feel that when his employees serve you as a customer. You are treated better than family! His menu is extensive, consistent in quality and presentation, and absolutely delicious 😋 😍 The inside of the bakery boasts clean lines, natural wood tones, lots of black-and-white - almost 50s soda shop-like, but it feels incredibly modern and welcoming at the same time. And the espresso 🥰🥰🥰 This is a MUST visit place, so just try it once and see if you don't become a regular 😉 Thanks, Ken, for being such a large part of this community- keep doing what you do!

Hands down the best place to get pandesal and other freshly baked filipino goodies. Also the espresso drinks which are prepared by owner Ken are phenomenal. If you want to experience filipino hospitality, then you have to visit this bakery!

Be aware that they building is tiny! The staff were so sweet though & helped me get in and out quickly. This location is far from me, but I’ll make this my go to location for Filipino pastries. Absolutely LOVED the ensaymada bread!

Wow! Wow!!! Baking is fresh & nonstop..!!!! The use of UBE in the coffee & baked goods is perfect! The Ube Latte was the best nutty, vanilla taste, iced or hot (hot today because it's like 37+ degrees outside). Bitso Bitso, Pepperoni Bread, Ensaymada, Maple Bread Pudding.... O----M----G!!! 😋 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

THIS IS THE BEST BAKERY IN VB! The bakery is beautiful and modern. The staff are extremely kind and welcomes you like you’re family. The menu has so many delicious options to chose from and everything is fresh. One of my favorite spots in VB. Highly recommend for all of Filipino baked good cravings!

Ok, I didn’t know what to expect here because I wasn’t familiar with Filipino food - but this was AMAZING. Food: Definitely try their Ube bread - it is sweet, but not too sweet - the filling is purple sweet potato that they’ve made into a type of sugary paste. It comes warm - I got there right before they closed and it still tasted fresh. They make everything homemade right on that day. They have tons of other types of bread as well - I tried quite a few, and you really can’t go wrong. Service: I told the woman at the counter that it was my first time, and she gave me a “tour” of all of the breads, going through each one, telling me what was in it, what it tasted like, etc. she was SO nice and very helpful. Price: Affordable. Paid $2-$3 per piece of bread and it allowed me to try a lot of them. The bread is also a significant size, and some portions come with multiple pieces. Highly recommend trying this to anyone who’s new - tho it might spoil you cuz after eating these, your standards will be high!

We were from out-of-state as per Google’s recommendation - Angie’s bakery serves yummy breads. We dropped by about 11am & bought heaps to try. Kallani was courteous & helpful. The bakery is clean & well-lighted. For me the top 4 were - 1. Spanish/Senorita Bread (the best - we bought this fresh from the oven) 2. Pork Siopao 3. Pandesal 4. Pepperoni Bread. Did not like the Custard bun,Ube bread. For the Hopia (Monggo, Baboy, Ube) - Monggo flavor was the best. Their Hopia - flaky, thick crust with not-so-sweet fillings (I like mine sweet though 😀). Better call ahead if you have specific bread to buy. They accept pre-order. If you pay using a credit card - there is a 3% charge. Highly recommended! 📌If you find this review helpful, kindly like 👍. Thanks.
