it’s a nice little date spot with affordable options & decent drinks. I will agree with the other comments saying the servers don’t really spend any time taking to you. I wouldn’t say they’re rude though. Food was hot, fresh, and came out rather quickly. I didn’t love my food but my husband loved his. The fajitas Is definitely what I’m getting next time.
This is my second time coming here and it's Just as good if not better than the first. The food is great the drinks are great the service is great. We will be back thank you !!!
This was our first time and we were so glad we decided to try it! The fresh guac was delicious and the food was excellent with very generous portions. This location isn't close to our home but we will definitely make the trip back!
True authentic Mexican Restaurant with the very best food in the area. I had the # 16 on the dinner menu and all was excellently prepared. Ask for green and white sauce to go with your chips 🍟 😋. Well worth the dining experience for the $$.
Went there for lunch. Got there around 12:10 wasn’t that busy yet. Staff was fast friendly. Food was average, my plate was hot but my food was kind of warm. Got the carne asada. I got no bean double rice but it looks like they just spread my rice to cover the plate. You have to asks for the white sauce for the chips. Really good. Steak could had been better season. It should be 3.5 star, but we can’t do half star. Not disappointed, great for a quick lunch, inexpensive. Would had got the 2.5 star if my food was hot like my plate and better season. The atmosphere was lacking the authentic Mexican restaurant vibe.
I'm giving this the highest rating because it is one of the better Mex food places between Norfolk and Va. Beach. I've never paid much attention to the atmosphere and have only eaten lunch, but many times, so service has always been good. But food wise I have been pleased with the standard fare. I've lived in Texas and California and if the very same restaurant were there perhaps I would just not comment at all. I once ordered a tamale for lunch off the dinner menu. What they brought me was not a tamale but it was good. Since then I have ordered it several times. A tamale is a big hunk of corn meal, spiced pork wrapped in a corn husk. (I know at xmas the Mexican folk would get fancy and put black olives and other goodies in the mix.) We would buy a dozen every week during the xmas season. But whatever it is they sell as a tamale I hope someone from the restaurant reads this and solves the "mystery food" for me. This has been some years ago and perhaps tamale is not on the menu any longer. Rob
Bar Tender / table server is very funny.
Great conversation about our dogs.
Cool air conditioning, nice music, fast service. Couldn't even get one beer down and food was ready.
Try the Modelo pitcher, ice cold and clean, refreshing.
Excellent all around!
This restaurant is a cornerstone of Virginia Beach.
I've been going here regularly for well over a decade.
It's solid all around.
Great food. Strong drinks. Good atmosphere. Family friendly.
