Came here for a cheeseburger to go that came quick and was hot and fresh. They didn’t pack utensils but I got them from the front desk which saved me a trip back.

Must Stop for any beach goer, if you're sitting outside you need to check in around the RIGHT of the Pool / Bar.
Food will be more on the "lunch" side of meals, burgers, fries, salads.
Have made many stops here in the last 15 years, great view and respectful staff.

Good place to eat since it was attached to the Holiday inn hotel we were staying at. Good draft beer & good fruity drinks. Had hamburgers, chicken wings, pizza hot dawgs. All food was good nothing special. We ate here everyday for lunch. Not a place for dinner.

Second place my wife and I sat down to have dinner on our honeymoon. Infinity better than the first restaurant we ate at on our honeymoon. The staff was very friendly, and the food..... the food was absolutely worth the wait. Wait time was only about 20 minutes or so, my wife and I could actually have a conversation without having to yell to hear each other. If you happen to be vacationing or just visiting Virginia Beach check this place out, you will not be disappointed.

Stopped in for a quick bite. Upon entering everyone was friendly. Was greeted by Pauly who is also the bartender and he makes the best drinks ever. We ordered cod fish and chips and peel and eat shrimp takeout. Very tasty and fresh. Will definitely be back again soon.

My vanilla milkshake took too long. In return, I got it EXTRA vanilla.
I also had a good lunch one of my vacation days last week and got vanilla ice cream. 4 stars due to no vanilla (Wednesday I think) and the first sentence.

My family & I stay at the Holiday Inn Resort every other year or so. While there we always eat at the Square Whale several times. We just got back from VB, on this trip we ate a bit of everything they had to offer... we had the American Burger, Old Bay Wings, Cheese Pizza, Blackened Shrimp Wrap, Club Sandwich, & tried every kids meal... they were all good... the only complaint I have would be with the bar staff... there was no rhyme or reason to their prices, one drink would be $6 w/ one shot of rum and mixer... then order the same thing & it would be $11 bucks... the bar staff would also argue in front of customers... there were several people in line and the would fuss & bicker... I just walked off a couple of times... Pauly was the only consistent guy behind the bar, everyone else was hit & miss... seemed to just charge whatever

Pauly made a fantastic bloody Mary. Zach was in top of everything. Can't beat their kids meals or their wings. Tried the chicken katsu sandwich with the old Bay chips and it was great. Everyone working was phenomenal.
