I have ate here several times & it NEVER disappoints! Their customer service is impeccable, the food is delicious & priced well. You get so much food! I’m plant based and they have plenty of vegan options. My meat eater enjoyed his chicken as well. My apologies no pics it was so good!

Price points are a little high for the portion size but the quality of the food and attentive wait staff made up the difference. We were very happy with the butter chicken and lentil soup, as well as the naan bread. We liked the naan bread so much in fact, we ordered seconds.The dining area is more upscale than expected based on the building's exterior. Wasn't crowded or noisy. Very clean. We spent about $53 for two people.
We were recommended this as a buffet by several people, but fair warning, it's no longer available, which is a shame because I'd heard nothing but good things.
Other than that, I really liked this place. We will probably go again.

Nawab has an amazing ambiance. I absolutely love Nawab at First Colonial in Virginia Beach and the entire staff offers exceptional service and are always very friendly. They truly care about their customers. And the food is so decadent and very delicious. I have been coming here for about 10 plus years now. My friends and family loves this place as well. I highly recommend it if you enjoy Indian cuisine. There is no other Indian cuisine better.

Our favorite place to order Indian cuisine and we've tried many. The vegan/vegetarian dishes are very hearty and delicious. The Gobhi Manchurian is THE BEST we have tasted yet. If you are craving Indian, I highly recommend this restaurant. We frequent here often since it is one of the few places my picky toddler will eat at.

We’ve been going here for several years now. Today I tried the Methi Chicken and it was really good. Staff was very friendly as usual and they have renovated recently and it looks much nicer. I just wish they still did the sunday buffet! Only reason for a 4 star is we ordered naan and raida and the server didnt explain naan already came with raida so we ended up with a whole extra dish..

Definitely tastier than the other Indian restaurant we had in the area. We ordered Spice level 5, and it was tasty spicy, and not overpowering or numbing. We had ordered the lamb kadhai, chicken kozhambu, and garlic naan and were pleased with our order! Would prefer to receive the full naan, and not the cut up portions. A little bit on the pricier side. Had to get ice cream next door to cool out palette lol.

My son ordered delivery from this place. Chicken tiki masala, goat curry, naan. Chicken tiki masala was the best I had in years. I ordered medium spicy and it was exactly that:) It was the first time I tried goat meat and it was delicious. Naan was up to standard. Rice was delicious.

Great and attentive service! The lentil curry soup was delicious with a kick of heat, and the shared platter of Salmon, chicken and lamb in a spicy cilantro sauce, wow! Waiting for our entrees now.

Love the food here. This one does not offer the lunch buffet, which is great if you are unfamiliar with food choices. But the menu has something for lovers of all Indian food. I always visit when I'm in the area.

We went there for the first time during our visit to Virginia Beach and to our surprise loved the ambience and service. We ordered Dal Tadka, which came with rice and was delicious along with the samosa chat, which was a special for the day. We didn't like the balti chicken, maybe a wrong choice from the Menu. But I loved the hospitality, every lady server showcased, a must learn for all the other services in that area. And lastly I loved the masala chai, what a delight !

Most authentic Indian food in Virginia Beach region. For lunch, we had Karara Murg as starter- that original North Indian taste and fragrance. Then came the goat curry-exactly as my Mom in India would make on a hot summer day. Finally that dessert-Nawab's dessert sampler-it had delicious malai pista kulfi (ice cream), halwai (carrot simmered in milk) and gulab jamun-beautifully decorated. I can bet it beats 99% of Indian desserts you can find in the whole of US.
We went back for dinner and were surprised by real, authentic garlic naan-soft, delicious, fresh-what more can I ask for? Chicken curry was also nice. Dal Makhani was 4/5, but might need a little extra to get 5 stars. Thank you for your nice hospitality. -Somnath Mandal, Ph.D.

The best Indian food anywhere. 11 years ago when I was pregnant I only wanted to eat at Nawab in Newport News everyday. Since we moved to NYC I’ve tried every Indian restaurant and nothing compares! They make the absolute best naan and raita. The chicken tiki masala and lamb Rogan josh are delicious. The chick pea app is also very good. I was so happy to be back here. We went twice during our 5 day visit to Virginia Beach.
