Loved seeing the food prepared. The service was outstanding. Always asking if I needed anything else and my cup never went empty. The sushi was delicious! 😋

The sushi was so delicious!!! The service was extraordinary. Our server placed the napkin in our laps, constantly checked in on us, and my boyfriend and her spoke in Japanese which I was so fascinated with. Definitely coming back. We ordered so much sushi I couldn't take a picture because in the moment of every bite so just mmmmmmmm. I'm still tasting everything. Drunk Japanese beer and plum wine. Great little date night vibe. Highly recommend.
My son & I have been loving ❤️ this sushi since we first tried it over 10 yrs ago. It's our first choice when either of us is asked where we want to go to celebrate a birthday, a good report card or anything! Everything is perfect: food, service & atmosphere.
A cute quant local sushi place. Very friendly service. I normally order to go online and pick up. Website is a little old but is functional and I’ve never had any issues with my rolls.
Our dining experience was very good, but not the best sushi we've had in the Tidewater area. The restaurant is very small and tends to fill up pretty quickly at the dinner hour, so reservations are recommended. The service was truly outstanding. We'll certainly visit again.

Updating my review from a year ago. Nara Sushi has the best and most authentic sushi in Virginia Beach. I come here almost weekly. The owners remember all their recurring guests. It's really a home like environment there. Most of the customers are regulars so you start to meet others. They know us and our extended family. The really make us feel welcomed every time we come.
It's such an intimidate small restaurant. Somehow they make it roomy and keep it very clean. Service is superb and timely. All of the waitresses and waiters are bilingual, fluent in English and their native language. I recommend calling for reservations as this place gets busy very quickly during dinner time. It's pretty easy, just call ahead.
Eric is the main sushi chef. Him and his wife own this restaurant. Eric creates each roll as if the were his master piece. The fish they serve is fresh. Each dish is beautifully presented and really delicious. I always leave there with belly full and satisfied. This is the only place in the city that creates and serves a sushi hand roll, correctly.
All I can say is I highly, hands down, can not say any more, about how much I recommend this place. If you want real sushi, just dine here.
The food was amazing. I ordered the Spiderman roll and it taste delicious!! The present is great as well. The service is very warm and welcoming. Would definitely recommend it!
Wow, great to have a Sushi place with amazing food and service in the Harbour View area. My son had the Habachi Chicken, my daughter and I had sushi rolls. Loved it all in a tasteful inviting atmosphere. We'll be back.
The sushi was the most delicious and freshest I have had in a long time. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff treated everyone like family. If I could eat here the entire time I was staying in Virginia Beach I would!
