The dining room is cozy. The outdoor sitting area is spacious. The service is by far some of the best. My waiter was attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the pesto fries, the chicken pasta, the duck and carrot cake. The duck was absolutely the best I’ve had.

The wine flight had a girl feeling nice. 😌 I ordered apps to go with my flight. It was simple... chicken and fries. The chicken was delicious. I would definitely recommend Mermaid Winery.

Great selection of wines for tasting and food is good. 4 Stars for the service, our entire order of food which we had appetizers and main dishes was deliver to our table at the same time and waiter take the dishes away even we said that we are still working on it.

Really good wines here!! Very much enjoyed the reds.. first time here.. I got the wine flight.. mermaid classic.. I got the lamb shank and was cooked very well and very well flavored.. y wife got the flat iron steak which had similar tones to the lamb shank but otherwise outstanding entrées.. kiddo got the kids Mac and cheese.. very different with the cheeses used but made it unique.. Will definitely come back.. still looking into the their wine club.. good place to kick back and relax to sit with some friends on the outside portion of the restaurant..

Mermaid winery is my absolute favorite spot in Virginia Beach. The vibe is classy yet casual and you can dress up or come in jeans. The appetizers like the charcuterie board, pretzel, and hummus are all amazing and so filling! All of the entrees are incredible and there is such a variety of food. The campfire kettle is my favorite dessert there. I love that mermaid is so versatile and perfect for essentially whatever type of food I’m in the mood for. Not to mention the huge wine list. The mermaid membership is also the best deal ever. You get 3 bottles of wine per month and a discount on food every time you eat there. Plus exclusive members tastings.

Bison burger and 1st landing burger were delicious, and when ordered from their lighter fair menu comes with a glass of wine. Very friendly staff.

Very gracious experience with much attention to detail. This is a destination place to go to experience wine tasting in a new way (for me) the wine is poured and arranged in a tiered fashion from (lighter to stronger) you can progress in whatever fashion you like and comment your tasting with great food. Bottles and glasses are available for purchase.

This place was amazing. The service was great. The valet gentlemen were nice. My steak was cooked perfectly and the Sweet wine 🍷 flight was an amazing pair with the meal. If you want to visit a winery, try this one.
