The Commonwealth - Virginia Beach - Photo album

I enjoyed my stay here. It's kind of secluded off the main road, surrounded by lots of trees. The rooms are older and you can hear the other rooms but they are comfortable, clean and nice. The staff is nice and helpful. I liked my stay and thought the price was reasonable.
The property is historically beautiful, and the accommodations were good. I couldn't give a 5 on the room because the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. I couldn't give a 5 on the service because I couldn't figure out how to turn the jacuzzi tub jets on and I was told an engineer would have to com
A Flawless Wedding at The Founders Inn Rating: ★★★★★ As a wedding coordinator, I recently had the privilege of planning a wedding at The Founders Inn in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The experience was exceptional, largely thanks to the outstanding staff, particularly Raquel, Conference Services Manag
Everyone here was so friendly. My husband and I stayed here for two nights after we had an Airbnb fail. We had brought our two dogs with us and all of the staff here was so helpful and accommodating. They watched our dogs while we went to the dining room and gathered to go boxes from the buffet. Lau
Very posh joint, thematically it's based around America's founding fathers so there are lots of ex president paintings, photos etc. There is an on-site spa offering massages and the like. Nice gym with multiple treadmills, weights elliptical machines and more. There is a hotel bar and restraunt food
We had our wedding here and they took care of everything. Staff was great and accommodating. They made the whole day stress free and enjoyable. Highly Recommend.
We recently celebrated our wedding at the Founders Inn, and it was nothing short of magical! Maria Lindauer, our wedding manager, made the entire process a joy. She helped us select the perfect package for our special day, and when we had to change our wedding date, Maria, along with the Director of
We had a great time in the Norfolk area with friends. We went to the Botanical Gardens, Bush Gardens, and Colonial Historic Williamsburg. The main reason for this trip was to see Christmas Lights. None of the three venues disappointed. Neither did the Founders Inn and Spa. The decorations are GREAT!
I stayed at this hotel while visiting my daughter at Regent University. The location of this hotel is wonderful, as it is easy to access the college from here. The rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. The ease of booking was great. The warm welcome was also nice as well.
Great stay and extremely dog friendly! They have 2 huge dog parks on the grounds. The spa is quite nice and the hotel overall is just a lovely and historic place to be. Of note, I heard they give ghost tours in the basement (or they used to). I had no weird vibes while there so I wouldn't worry abou
The property and amenities were perfect for my fiancé, son and myself. The room was clean. The ducks made the experience so special and magical. The property was beautiful. The pool slide was a surprise. The lifeguard Marley was really pleasant. We met a groundskeeper named James and he made the in
My fiance and I absolutely loved this hotel and plan on going here much more often. Very clean, quiet, and romantic. The restaurant was gorgeous, and the food was fantastic. Very professional staff.
Nice find. Colonial and country feel, very nice lobby and beautiful outdoor areas. Room was comfortable, adjustable thermostat. Many room categories to pick from. Only stayed overnight but would definitely come back to get to enjoy the resort and all they have to offer.
Definitely lavish but homely. The service is A1 and the food was fabulous. They have a pond in there middle of the compound and I made friends with the ducks. I really loved my stay there and so did my twin
