John's Fish Market - Vineyard Haven - Photo album

Ok, so I’ve had lobster rolls all over MV and Cape Cod. Sandy’s lobster roll is by far the best! No fillers, perfectly toasted bun with an abundance of lobster! I may or may not have had 5 in my 15 days this year. And probably just as many last summer. Today I tried The Obama burger! I will say, Mic
Friendly and great product. What more could you want. They’re now my go to for fresh seafood, especially for off season. I went there the last two years before thanksgiving and got some amazing catches because let’s be honest, on the vineyard, turkeys can stay in the yard instead of going in the ove
Excellent seafood market and food counter. One side for picking up fresh fried seafood dishes. The other side is the market. Nice staff. Probably one of the best spots to eat or shop on the island.
Great selection of fish, and their crab cakes are delicious! We got the grilled tuna sandwich and it was had a generous amount of fish. This was the best fish sandwich I've had in a long time, especially for only 11.50!
Now, I’m biased because New England seafood is ok at best when you compare it to the different fish down south, lobster aside. However, this is a place I would take my mother to eat. I’ve eaten all those seafood stores in the different towns in MV but they are overpriced, over cooked, and underwhelm
Locally loved 😍 ❤️ fish market offers fried delights to go, great suggestions and cooking advice but closes at 3pm most days so be an early bird because the catch is in demand
Thank you for a great summer season. Your seafood is the best we have ever had. We will see you next season!
John's fish market was highlighted on Andrew Zimmerman's delicious destinations. This was our first stop off the ferry to Martha vineyard. We met the owner Glenn and got a little bit of history about the place. My husband came here for the whole belly clams and cohogs. I had the salmon wrap with lem
Jumbo lobster is good and with great price. People who work here are nice. Noted that the hot food section (Sandy's Fish and Chips) is not open on Sundays.
The onion straws were beyond amazing - I’d go back just for those! The flounder sandwich was a great value and the coleslaw was perfectly balanced and moist!
I ordered a lobster salad roll and it was pretty good. The portion seemed right for the price and I liked the fact that the cooked the bun on the flat top with butter.
Always reliable. Always fresh. And terrific friendly people behind the counter!
Terrific fish and chips. The lobster salad roll was good but not the best on the island.
Excellent fried seafood, perfectly seasoned! I would say this is my favorite place on the island for takeout fried seafood. There is a small area outside to eat, if you can't wait to get home! Portions are great!
Great food. Bit slow on getting it cooked
Really solid fish sandwiches, great people, good price :)
Ok- make your vacation and get fried fish here. Fantastic, fresh- great crispy crust, some oil but not in a bad way- generous portions - prices are fair. Make sure you tip- staff works hard!
Delicious and fairly priced prepared food. They do a great fry job---probably the best on the island---but the tuna sandwich and the various dinners are delicious and a good deal. Good chowder, too. As of Summer 2021, they---like everyone else on the island---were having trouble with staffing, so t
