Very good food, I got the bacon and pepper jack burger, came out hot/warm, and it was delicious, the fries also had the perfect amount of salt on them, do recommend coming here, will be back soon.
Gus’s Diner is one of the best diner in the greater Madison area. We started coming here last yr after we received a coupon in the mail.
First, the wait staff is very polite and nice. They are always checking if you need anything or if your coffee needs a refill. Second, the food is good and value for money. I have tried the ribs or the steaks, and my wife usually goes for the omelettes. Third, their shakes especially their Oreo shake is amazing. The waitress even gave us the additional ice cream. Last but not the least, the ambience is really great. The interior is what would come to your mind when you think of a classic old school diner. There are photos and signs from the 40s and 50s.
Excellent service and great place to stop and eat after a long day. Burger was cooked perfect and juicy. The turkey club was more than enough food and the pot roast was perfection and the soup was truly amazing as well. The milk shakes where truly the cherry on top ;). Overall hands down 5/5 will be coming back if in the area.
This is one of the best breakfast spots in the Madison area. The skillets are delicious and the bread that they use for their toast is so fresh and tasty. Really good pancakes, too. Great 50s diner atmosphere with fantastic service!
Good diner fare and great PIE. Get the pie. I could tell the cook actually tastes the food as its being made. I'd give six stars for the key lime pie alone. Shout out to my server Kaitlyn! I hope to see your lovely face when I come back.
We have ordered from Gus's plenty of times before. However, today someone decided to stuff my pancakes into this little container. This does not make me want to eat these pancakes. Please package the food better next time. Other than that the food is always the way I ordered it and delicious.
Had a wonderful soup and salad bar meal with a friend here recently. So good! Friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!
