Bob Evans

Went to a small breakfast meeting here. The food was as expected - nothing fancy but good. Portions were good. The waitress was very nice, professional and accommodating. The restaurant is clean which is always important in my opinion. I took a star off because my pet peeve is an empty glass. I get a dry mouth when I'm talking a lot, and I talk a LOT. I appreciate the waitress giving us time and space for the meeting. I understand that we are occupying a table however, we were only one of three tables being used. I always reward a waitress for keeping my glass full or at least asking.

We usually enjoy our local Bob Evans, but this last visit was the exception. Perhaps it was because it was Easter Sunday and we got there after they had been extremely busy. Their Easter Special looked appetizing, but when it reached us everything was cold. I don't mean luke warm...I mean like it had just come out of the refrigerator and they forgot to warm it up. The waitress agreed to replace the dinner but when I picked up the plate to hand it to her, I felt grit and grease on the bottom of the plate. Perhaps the dishwasher was not working properly that day. It really grossed us out. The replacement meal came back hot, but they gave us the wrong veggies thus time. Rather than complain again we just finished what we felt comfortable eating and left. Between the cold food and the dirty dishes it's a wonder customers aren't getting sick there. Like I said, they're usually pretty good. We will likely give them another try one day, but I'll look closer at the cleanliness factor next time.

I walked in starving, The waitress brought me free hot rolls with butter! 😍 It was raining so I got the cheddar potato soup, when she bought it to me it was nice and warm. it was also topped with real bacon and that made me happy! The chicken salad was a great size! I was stuffed but i could smell banana bread. My waitress brought me some brought me some and it made my day!

Haven't eaten there in years and decided to stop today to grab a bite to eat. I was blown over by the musty mold smell as soon as I walked in the front door, then stood at the hostess stand and there was not an employee to be found. No one greets you at the door or offers to seat you or even acknowledges your existence. No problem I went someplace else to eat and would suggest you do the same.

Bob Evans was open at 9:00 PM in Vero Beach, Florida. I wanted breakfast and stopped at IHOP, but they just closed up. The Whole Hog breakfast was everything you could want for breakfast. Ham, bacon, patty sausage and even link sausage, along with 2 eggs, hash browns, a large pancake and to top it off, a large French toast, made this a breakfast to remember. Warm maple syrup and plenty of butter made this a very filling meal. In fact, it was more than I could eat. They even gave me my military discount. I will definitely go back to Bob Evans Restaurant.

Nice clean establishment. Ordered breakfast food. Clean and organized. Pricing was reasonable. Food was cooked right and tasted good. Staff was friendly and served us well. Bathrooms were clean. My breakfast steak was a good choice though I would probably not order the toast next time. Great breakfast joint to put on your list.
