Smokehouse Bbq

From the pictures, you can see that this place is set up on US 1 with easy access from the road with good parking. The inside is very spacious and you can sit where you want. Thier menu items give you plenty to choose from and they also have specific cuts of steak on special daily. They also have a take out menu. They are good for the prices they have. Thier wait staff is friendly and helpful. I had the brisket with greens a baked potato and bbq beans. The brisket was served a little cool and kind of tough but it still was ok with the bbq sauce they have available at the table. The beans didn't taste like they were fresh, but the collard greens were very good and tasted like they were cooked with bacon. The potato was very good as well and they give you plenty of butter. After finishing my food I still left hungry. My wife had the baby back ribs with green beans Mac n cheese and steak French fries. The ribs came out kind of dry and stiff. This plate was also on the cool side and not really hot. The flavor in the rub that was used was lacking, and again the table sauce was used to make it more palateable. The green beans were very plain and tasted like they were just boiled lightly in tap water. The Mac n cheese was very good along with the steak fries which were good as well. They are inexpensive for lunch but in my opinion not worth stopping unless you come here just for the sides and not the main courses. I would suggest rethinking the brisket to be more tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Please think about preparing the green beans with bacon and melted butter. The ribs and brisket should be the heavy hitters, not the side items.

Let me say why this place deserves at least two stars. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is as expected for a good bbq place. Now for the bad. The food was terrible. It's called a "smokehouse". Look at the pictures, the is NO smoke ring. The flavor wasn't present and the meat was dried out and tasteless. If this is the norm then they should be ashamed of what they are claiming to be Good BBQ.

The ribs were awful. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The ribs were chewy and rubbery with little to no meat. You can see it in the picture. When you think ribs you think meaty, moist, fall off the bone. The trash served was the exact opposite. It was a fight to get the bones apart. The beans are a can of Bush's baked beans with a piece of bacon thrown in. The food really was that bad. I stopped in the middle of eating to write this because I couldn't take it anymore. Beer selection was decent and the hot cabbage was the only thing that was worthwhile here. Save yourself the trouble there's better places to eat. Despite sitting at the bar there was very minimal interactions from staff 4-5 people at bar and they couldn't be bothered. I'd like to say there was an upside to stopping here, there wasn't. Any place that calls themselves a smokehouse/ barbecue joint that can't do basic ribs isn't really a barbecue joint.

We were in there pretty early so it was quiet. I had the 10oz sirloin. Mom had pulled chicken with sweet potato fries. Sister had chicken grilled Caesar salad. And we also had an appetizer of fried mushrooms. The food was great. My steak was amazing. The total bill was roughly about 50 bucks so not bad at all. Service was fantastic. I would recommend this place for dinner to anyone for a casual meal. I will definitely be eating here again.

Me and my wife's first time here. A wonderful place with great food, the hot cabbage is awesome and the pulled pork melts in your mouth. If you are looking for a great place for BBQ look no more. Stop here and get your BBQ on, The portions are big and the prices are spot on. Everything is homemade, no canned food here. Ask for Stephanie she was perfect!

Locally owned. Really popular with locals. Been in business for a long time. Great Bbq! Very friendly and helpful staff. My family loves the food! My favorite is the Peanut Butter pie! They also have tasty sweet potato fries! If you have already been there, you understand. If you haven't, you should!
