So tonight July 4, I decided to order Mr. Manatees. I requested two orders of Gator tale with fries. Total came up to $32.08. The bartender gave me my food and only gave me one of the orders. I asked the bartender where is the second order? She said they put both of them inside of one container and stated, I should have told her that I wanted both orders separately. I will totally not be eating there again.

Had not been here in a while -so disappointed. Had a simple Caesar salad and grilled shrimp. Had to have shrimp replaced- as the first batch was dry and tasteless. There was way too much salad dressing as well. The only saving grace was the server who did offer a free dessert -but I decided against it. Hope it was just a fluke. But it will be a long time til I try this place again. What’s happening Vero Beach ??

The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. The oysters were not washed before serving they still had seaweed and dirt on them the crackers were stale and the horse radish was bland how do you get bland horseradish lol omg . The salmon was obviously from Walmart or Costco it was something we could of made ourselves. The servers and drinks (rum buckets) were amazing I’d only come here for drinks that’s the only thing that’s good here . Oh and the kitchen staff was walking around outside which is probably why their food sucks

Great restaurant! Service, staff, menu, food, drinks, on the water. Family type restaurant with many perks. Create a wonderful experience. ...but busy, people just seem to love this place. It has the right attraction. It's like a diner that puts upscale restaurants to shame, for me, as it's all about BALANCE. Only thing missing is high prices as cost is very reasonable. I am a salad lover and after seeing some of the salads, I was wishing I ordered just that.
Mr. Manatee's has the right balance for their food, service, staff, experience. A restaurant that is a busy place offering a GREAT experience, IMHO!

Disappointed. The crab cakes were very dry and little flavor. The shrimp was dry and over cooked.
Came here for birthday celebration and so surprised a slice of dessert wasn’t complimentary.
The orange cake was absolutely great. That was worthwhile
But overall, the quality of the dinner was poor.

Don't even know where to begin. One of the worst dining experiences ever. We asked to sit on the patio. That was a mistake. We literally went unattended to for 15 minutes while there was a shift change. We then waited another 30 minutes for subpar appetizers. Cold lobster bisque and burnt gator bites. Entree wasnt much better. The Captains Platter was just bad , rubbery shrimp and scallops and frozen vegetables. We will not be back.

Our waitress Alex was wonderful, and our gator tail appetizer was just fine, no complaints. My husband and I both ordered the fiesta fish burrito, which was said to have fried mahi mahi, chipotle Mayo, jalapeños, and cheese. Sounds great, but we were so disappointed when our entrees came. The fish had no flavor at all, and the “burrito” looked and tasted a lot more like a cheap wrap you could buy at the gas station. I couldn’t even finish mine, it so was not worth it! We are from out of town and were super excited to try a local, low key seafood joint. Super super disappointing!

Went back today and the service was great and most of the food but our scallops smelled of ammonia and we told our server but management did nothing to make it right. Over 80$ for one app, one entree, a pd of shrimp, and drinks.....most of which was happy hour specials. The scallops literally left a bad taste in my mouth. We probably won't be going back.

I had the grilled salmon with steamed broccoli and sauteed onions, rice and beans a side salad. My drink was an Arnold Palmer of course. Everything was perfect and delicious and my waitress went above and beyond.

First time and wondering what took us so long to get here. Went at noon with immediate seating on back desk overlooking boat dock and river. I had fried conch. & steak bites appetizers and draft beer (PBR) and wife had coconut shrimp. Service fast & friendly and looking forward to next time.

You have to know what to order when you go here. Get wings, oysters, clams and cold beer. I like the sandwiches too. We go to this one on a regular basis. Staff is great. Stay away from pasta dishes.

I can only speak on one menu item that I order every time I am in town...the Onion Encrusted Mahi Mahi. I have always been happy either when getting the Sandwich or Dinner with the Mahi Mahi. Their side salad is a nice size and comes with a good dressing. Friendly and attentive staff. Super Casual, great for families with kids.

Totally uninspiring. The food was microwave quality and the service was outright terrible. Even the cheap oysters couldn't save this place. Such a waste of a beautiful location.

This is the second year we have visited Vero Beach and Mr. Manatee's. The food was good and the oysters were fresh and at .39 each how can you loose? The service was prompt. If you like good seafood in a casual atmosphere this is a place you will enjoy. This is not a place for a quiet dinner.
