Great place for seafood! Nice atmosphere, good food, well-tended bar. Darby was our server and she was fantastic! She was fast, friendly and attentive. Definitely a place we will come back to as often as possible.

top Vero choice in casual realm. onion crusted mahi sandwich is the go to lunch choice. usually a couple of good chowders. decent beer selection. open later than typical for Zero Beach.
First time and wondering what took us so long to get here. Went at noon with immediate seating on back desk overlooking boat dock and river. I had fried conch. & steak bites appetizers and draft beer (PBR) and wife had coconut shrimp. Service fast & friendly and looking forward to next time.
You have to know what to order when you go here. Get wings, oysters, clams and cold beer. I like the sandwiches too. We go to this one on a regular basis. Staff is great. Stay away from pasta dishes.
Nice atmosphere for the casual person. The fish burrito was fantastic and priced under $10. Wings were so so nothing to rave about but were not bad. Friendly.

I can only speak on one menu item that I order every time I am in town...the Onion Encrusted Mahi Mahi. I have always been happy either when getting the Sandwich or Dinner with the Mahi Mahi. Their side salad is a nice size and comes with a good dressing. Friendly and attentive staff. Super Casual, great for families with kids.
Been here twice and found the staff to be superb, but like a lot of restaurants in Vero Beach the food was average at best. We would go back because of the staff.
This is a casual place to get a good meal and listen to Jimmy Buffett music. They have great raw oysters at a decent price.
This is the second year we have visited Vero Beach and Mr. Manatee's. The food was good and the oysters were fresh and at .39 each how can you loose? The service was prompt. If you like good seafood in a casual atmosphere this is a place you will enjoy. This is not a place for a quiet dinner.
Great restaurant! Service, staff, menu, food, drinks, on the water. Family type restaurant with many perks. Create a wonderful experience. ...but busy, people just seem to love this place. It has the right attraction. It's like a diner that puts upscale restaurants to shame, for me, as it's all about BALANCE. Only thing missing is high prices as cost is very reasonable. I am a salad lover and after seeing some of the salads, I was wishing I ordered just that.
Mr. Manatee's has the right balance for their food, service, staff, experience. A restaurant that is a busy place offering a GREAT experience, IMHO!
Very pleasant and peaceful. Good food and service was.wonderful. our first visit there, although we had always meant to go. We would see it after leaving Jack Baily's, some years ago. We decided it was time, and found it enjoyable.
