Spaghetti Company

We were seated right away and our order was taken quickly. The table behind me was offered complimentary bread before the meal. I then overheard the table behind my boyfriend ask for the bread, the wait staff said "oh of course!" But the table never received their bread. Then a large group was seated and given 3 baskets of bread as soon as they sat down. We never asked for or received bread. Our food was amazing and we both thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to come back if we are ever in town again. We created our own pasta with salmon on top. They served us each a large piece of salmon cooked to perfection on top of our giant mound of pasta. My only complaint would be consistency between tables. If some tables are receiving free bread and others aren't it's a little strange. Especially because when we were seated there were small plates at the end of the table which I could only assume was for the bread and oil. I only complain about this because we really love bread! Ha we ended up ordering cheesy garlic bread and paying for it because we wanted bread but didn't want to be rude by asking for the free stuff.

I really wanted to give a stronger rating, but the food was just okay. My eggplant parmesan was half cold, the broccoli and the minestrone were over salted. The pasta was fresh and tasty. The server was very sweet and considerate. The decor is dark and tired. All in all, it was an okay experience, but nothing special.

I have been to Ventura Spaghetti more than five times, and every time tried a different dish and all were excellent. The service is friendly and professional. One time I tried a wine and did not like it and I was given another glass of something I preferred no questions asked and no problem. I love the food. The sauces are spectacular, and the pasta is always perfectly cooked. Every dish is different. It is a great food experience.

The 2686 Kitchen has kept it's predecessors phone number, the closed Spaghetti Co, but everything else has been updated including menu. I had a burger with fresh cut fries, it was tasty. Parking is a bit confusing, but nice little spot once you park and check out this new Ventura, California eatery. Look forward to my photos all coming up for 2686 Kitchen, a great place for a bite near hospitals and midtown. Best of luck to owners of 2686 Kitchen, look forward to trying empanadas, next time. Let me start by saying this was probably my worst experience at a restaurant ever!!! I had always seen this restaurant from afar when I visited Ventura and since I love spaghetti, I thought, "oh for sure one day I will check that place out." I wish I would have read the reviews prior to visiting. :/ I arrived and there were only about 3 other customers there. 2 of the customers left shortly thereafter so it was really only me and another customer but she had been there before I arrived. It took the waitress about 10 minutes to seat me. It took her about another 15 minutes to take my order. When I ordered she tried to sell me extra things like, "marinera sauce" which you would think came with a spaghetti order. Very odd. She had a very cold demeaner and she was pushy in trying to sell me, "extras." It seems that she wanted my order to be more expensive, maybe she thought it was a great way to get a big tip. On the drink menu there were only alcoholic beverages. I ordered garlic bread and although I was only 1 of 2 customers there at that point, it took her 30 minutes to get the bread out! I ordered lasagna too and that took another 40 minutes. This was a complete waste of time. The spaghetti was the worst I have ever had. It didn't seem freshly made and it wasn't even warm. I will never go back there and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. It's just horrible, from the food to the terrible service. I can't believe they are still in business. :/ Surely there are better restaurants for you to try.

This place has changed. It's been 4 months since I was last here. They were in the transition off new owners then. I had herd that the food was ok, but the service sucked! I decided to try it out and see for my self. The food was good. Same menu. I had the Spaghetti dinner with a Venetian salad. I added meat balls for an extra charge. Well worth it. Had the Marinara sauce. Foccasia bread was great! The other thing I noticed was the bar is gone! But on another level! They now have local craft Beer on Draft! I enjoy good beer and more when it's local! They have Topa Topa and Made West. Had a good experiance here. Service was great. Will continue to come back and enjoy Spaghetti Sundays!
