My family and I went here today for the 1st time. It was a classic dive in (family style). A very friendly environment and our kiddo loved it. Cool trains on the ceiling and awesome fish n chips! Will be going again for sure. Thank you!
Top 5 fries in my life! And I usually prefer salad. Fun scene with kids and adults getting classic burgers or dogs, though the salad and chicken is good too. Don't miss snoopy riding a toy train in the ceiling, or the mini toy zone in the outdoor side seating. Mini cone is a neat size for both kids and anyone who just wants a smackerel of ice cream.
Very friendly staff and a must visit place for their ice cream. This is one place where you get a generous scoop dipped in 3 choices ( chocolate/ butterscotch / strawberry) topping .. I will go here just for the ice cream.
I tried chicken fries and it was nicely darkened outside and juicy inside. The time I went, it was an hour before closing and no other customers were there. It was silent and there was no music in the background. With friendly staff ensuring the correctness of order and quick delivery of tasty food, this place gets 5 stars.
The food is great. The chef really takes care in selecting the ingredients and it comes through! Two things to remember: if you want to pay cash you can only order in person; the drive-thru comm system has never worked so if you drive through you order at the window. If the drive through was functional and I could order online or on the phone and pay cash this might be the best restaurant on island.
The food was good, not very seasoned, and the service rocked. Good environment.
We love Island Queen as we live so close but be careful with take out food. They often forget at least one item or sauce that you ordered. The chicken sandwiches are great though!
Best Dairy Queen I have ever been to in my life! Seriously.
The standard menue has been (almost) thrown out and in it's place is something you would find at a sit down restaurant. The burger I had was delicious and made to order... the salads that I saw coming out to other tables made me jealous! Not kidding, this salad is nothing like you would find at any other fast food place in the country. (I spend a lot of time on the road and have a good base line to go off of) ...
I would not pay for the ferry just for this place, BUT if you are on the island anyway, this is totally worth the stop.
Service was not "usual" DQ fast, but because everything is made to order, I was not disappointed after waiting an extra 3min for my food. (I guess they call that Island Time).
