Good Choice Restaurant

Standard Chinese restaurant, came here to celebrate friend's birthday. Didn't know there's free parking after 6pm in the back until I went inside the restaurant. Which I paid for street parking already. Dinner menu selection is quite limited compare to other Chinese restaurants. We decided to order their set menu with the Peking duck. The server kept trying to upsell seafood (lobster or crab combo instead of the duck) to us but we declined several times. The restaurant is actually small, I think I counted 8-9 tables? So definitely recommend to make reservations ahead of time.

Good Choice Restaurant's ALL DAY dim sum is a great bang-for-a-buck, especially for take out! They offer 10% off all take out orders, which is an absolute steal considering their large portions here. Whether you're looking to dine-in or take-away, they have great safety measured in place, and their food is sure to satisfy. For dining in, I highly recommend making a reservation first & calling beforehand, as they do not have many tables inside and gets quite busy during lunchtime - ESPECIALLY on the weekends. All their dim sum offerings I've tried so far have been nothing short of amazing. Flavourful, fresh, and comforting, as dim sum should always be. I'm so glad I discovered this one hell of a gem.

This family run restaurant really brings back nostalgia with their dim sum which is steamed to perfection.  No one likes over steamed shrimp dumplings wraps that stick together and rip when you try to take it out of the steaming basket.  Springs rolls and stuffed egglpant was fried very well and not oily.  The staff there was very friendly and attentive.  Would recommend calling to make reservations as currently there is only five tables due to COVID restrictions.  The tables that are there are well spaced out.  They also do take out too!!

I went there with my wife and kids after a friend from Hong Kong recommended this place to us. We ordered dimsum favourites, congee, and other foodstuff like meat buns. Its definitely one of the most yummy Chinese food in Vancouver that wont break your pockets. Just embrace what the ambiance has to offer, its antique looking but its part of history. Service was friendly and price is just right. We will be back again! Too bad food was too good that I wasnt able to take photos.
