Greek's Pizzeria-downtown

Wonderful family atmosphere in a great downtown setting. Really does have a nostalgic feeling of old pizzerias. Lots of room for big family get-togethers also private booths and smaller seating up front. Not to mention their food is absolutely amazing. Wonderful different varieties of pizza to try, all of them with great flavor. The staff is friendly, welcoming and courteous. Highly recommend anyone in the Valparaiso area to check this place out.

Amazing local place! The pizza here is delicious and I have definitely missed eating in person and seeing their lovely staff. In the mean time, my family commenced our now annual “knot-a-palooza” where we order all the different knots they offer. All were absolutely FANTASTIC! Highly recommend. Our favorites were the garlic knots for savory and the butterfinger ones for sweet.

Extremely poor, completely unacceptable experience. Placed carryout order online and the instructions were to call when you arrived. We tried to call multiple times and received a busy signal every time. So we had to get out of the car to tell them they were there, but the front door was locked (locked!!) and the teenage male employee almost walked right past us ignoring us (right in front of the door) on his way back inside. We politely told him about the phone issue, and he literally had no response except to ask for the order name. No acknowledgement of the phone being off the hook. We had arrived on time for our order (45 min after we placed it online), and it was not ready for another 30 minutes, despite there only being 1 person in front of us by that point. When he (same employee) FINALLY brought it out, we mentioned that it was 30 minutes late, and he seemed surprised but otherwise unemotional and unapologetic. Absolutely abismal service. Then if that wasn't bad enough, the pizza and knots were COLD (were they just sitting there???) and flavorless. The knots didn't have nearly enough of the toppings, and the pizzas were ok at best. Seriously I could not believe the quality difference. I grew up in valpo & even lived across the street from Greek's for a year, and they used to be SO good, one of the best in a very competitive-for-pizza town! I couldn't believe how bad the quality was compared to how it used to be!! Just a terrible, unacceptable, pathetic experience all around. I will not return and will warn others.

Their Pizza is delicious and the ingredients are fresh. Great place for a family get together. Hopefully that can happen again soon! Have been going to Greeks for many years and make drives from Northwest Suburbs where I live just to buy the Stromboli sandwiches and knots. The Owner is all about quality service and making sure you are happy. Whats not to like???
