Stopped here while passing thru Valdasta and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Luckily arrived at 5pm when in opened and seating was prompt. Good thing because the place filled up quickly. A vibrant place with a great outdoor bar and dining area. Music and atmosphere was good and the staff was attentive and friendly although kitchen was a little mixed up and slow. I had the raw oysters with a wedge and my wife enjoyed the salmon with a side salad. The bread bowl was saltine crackers, a fun twist. Enjoyed the outdoor seating and big screen TVs. Would definitely recommend and will visit again next time we are in the area.

Perfect gator tail. Awesome smoked fish dip. Street corn was nice.
Service seemed odd??? Went there for music with friends, we sat in a smoking area outside (which is at the corner in front of the building).
They didn't come to take our order... Had to go to the bar to place an order. Then wrong orders were brought to our table with three different servers wondering what happened. We really didn't mind and offered to pay for the order and eat it if the couldn't figure it out.
I feel if they took the order to begin with, that wouldn't have been an issue...
Otherwise great food and vibe.
Cornhole was being played on the lawn, children were also enjoying the lawn. This provided an easy way to enjoy the live music while having your toddler run around.

Truly a 5 star place, or should be! The fact that they know that they have a building that blocks signals and then do not provide the customer any access so that they can even be notified on the wait list via their chosen text program, this program is horrendous and absolutely danaged thought we mismanaged thoughts, in large just mismanaged by ownership and subsequent management. The food was wonderful, the servers and the bartenders especially were in the weeds the entire time we waited more than 15 minutes for "not-the-bartender" 2 come over and at least talk to us and then he immediately got us a beer or 3 three. Beyond that, The same dirty tables that we that we walked in to find and sat at the bar near ?which were for dinner guests only) not bar use remained dirty the entire time we were in the bar and also remained dirty the entire time we ate dinner it was almost 2 hours before before those tables were actually cleared so the place was clearly in the weeds and probably understaffed like so many others are from this scamdemic

Food was delicious! I ordered the salmon with corn and fries. We also ordered the shrimp which was great as well. We had the loaded queso dip as an appetizer and it was good! The only thing that we were not pleased with was our alcoholic beverages (strawberry fields), it tasted like a watered down sprite. Definitely will not order that again. Other than that everything was great. Waitress was very nice. Overall pretty good experience

This was my first visit for dinner on a Saturday night. The Salty Snapper is a really nice restaurant, clean with tasteful decor. Not sure why they built it so close to the railroad tracks. Staff was young, professional and helpful. Everyone was casually dressed, which is my kind of place, reminds me of Southern California beach towns. We sat on bar patio outside, where live music was playing. I ordered two pulled pork tacos for $11, a little pricey but really good. My wife ordered the nightly special, ravioli and steak for $25. Not a good combination and a definite do not order, I tried it and found steak over seasoned with salt, the ravioli was over done and did not care for filling.. I reordered her Baja fish tacos, they were excellent. Key lime pie was good, but not in my top 10. I would definitely recommend this place, but order from regular menu items,.

Sad! Service was great. Food was awful. Got dozen oysters. You could literally put 6 oysters on one cracker. Very wrong for them selling them without letting the customers know that there no bigger than a dime. After being upset with oysters, I order the ribeye. IT SUCKED. Worst steak I ever had anywhere. So expensive for the worst experience ever from a top rated restaurant. . Definitely do not recommend it. They are very overrated. Don’t waste your money. 👎🏻

Very good food, I was looking for an environment that was welcoming and lively, no band was playing that night but for and the customer service was great can’t wait to come back. I enjoyed the alligator bites and pasta vey filling.

Had been hearing about the Salty Snapper on WVFJ and was excited to finally be able to go last night. My wife was disappointed that there was no dish that had fish with a crabmeat sauce so she ordered the steak and shrimp. She ordered the steak medium rare when the plate came the potato was cold and the steak was medium well. She never says anything and I rarely do but this time I did. We were offered a free dessert instead of a properly cooked steak and baked potato. We reluctantly accepted the offer. When the brownie and ice cream came it was like a boxed brownie mix brownie. We left some which we never do.
On the plus side my boys and I enjoyed our dishes and the crab chowder was excellent. If we go again I think my wife will try the crab cakes.

What an excellent lunch today! This was our first visit and we were so impressed with the service and the food. Lunch portions were huge and very reasonably priced. Our server, Kalie, was fantastic! We can't wait to go back again to enjoy the live music and more of that delicious food. Be sure to ask for Kalie, you won't be disappointed.

The Salty Snapper is our go-to restaurant on Valdosta! Also great service, atmosphere, food and drinks! My fiancé and I like the get the tacos and crab cakes and switch one, so we can try both. Wings and smoked fish dip are favorites for us as well. Really never had anything we didn’t love. Big restaurant perfect for parties/ business events. Live music. It’s just what Valdosta needed. Thanks Salty Snapper!

We were in town from Michigan to watch a softball game and recieved a recommendation to have dinner here.
Restaurant is hidden back in a residential setting off the road in the trees, giving it a long time we do it right feel. We brought people back the next night.
Service and food was amazing!!

Our server Kalie was the nicest and most knowledgeable person in the restaurant. Was super patient with our allergies and food preferences, 10 out of 10 will eat with her again. As usual, perfect atmosphere and food!
