Mr. Kebab

Ordered a bunch of food, waited outside in 90 degree heat and the manager owner came out with free bread and hummus for me! So sweet of him! And tasty hummus! Wow! What great customer service! You’ll have to come try their menu :-) I got lamb kabob, chicken kabob, baklava and dolma. Plates come with rice bread and salad. Only minor setback for me was that we couldn’t dine IN, but Covid procedures gave me a good sense of how the restaurant is run - clean! Baklava is from Turkey. I’m half Lebanese and I am impressed :-)

My wife and I decided to try something new. We chose to try this restaurant for the vegetarian options. I explained to the gentleman that we had never tried this type of cuisine, he was was very warm and welcoming! He was extremely patient and broke down every plate and their differences, popularity and how they were prepared. He even gave me small samples to take home to my family for them to try! The falafel was so good! The hummus was unlike any store bought hummus we had ever tried, I have been craving it ever since.

This is a long overdue review as we've been going to Mr. Kebab for years! It's the only food my family, some of whom are on keto diet or low carb diet, can agree on. The owners are super friendly and flexible. I love the fact they started doing online orders recently...it makes things super convenient. I sometimes place an order then go to Safeway next door to shop for groceries then pop in at Mr. Kebab to pick up my to go order. We always get the chicken kebab plate. It comes with salad, 4 chicken skewers, rice and house bread. The combo lamb and beef kofte kebab is also good. It's a lot of food...I always have leftovers for the next day. The meats are always juicy and tender. I'm so glad the combo plate comes with rice because it's soooo good. The salad is always fresh. My kids especially love their garlic fries. In the years I've been coming to Mr. Kebab, the food has always been good. It's always met my expectations.

Not tasty, considerably pricey, and super unappetizing is my impression trying both Chicken and lamb/beef donner...I probably tried all Turkish restaurants in the Silicon Valley and Bay area, THIS one by far is the WORST!! No dine in, no restrooms, yet they want you to pay a tip and cost you close to $15 for a wrap seriously??? Yeah this was a mistake...

Whoa!!!! A small store front looking from outside in, but inside the restaurant was quite a bit of room. Anyway, I had the sandwich with Chicken. They grill and rotisserie as Mediterranean Meats are usually cooked. Mr. Kabob serves Salads (with choice of meat), Kabob's of course, Gyros, Wraps and Sandwhiches called "Doner". I had their Doner Chicken. The Bread had some type of seeds cooked into it. The bread is also very soft with air pockets when taking a bite reminded me of biting into a Marshmallow.. The Chicken was chopped and cooked with sauteed onion. The Doner sandwhich was topped with Fresh chopped Romaine Lettuce, Tomato and onion and traditional Tzatziki Sauce. The meal also came with a side salad. It so happened that the Doner was a little messy than Chicken on a Gyros or a Wrap for that matter, that whatever pieces of Chicken fell on the plate, then used it to top the side Salad and make a Chicken Salad as a second meal. Delicious!!! I recommend Mr. Kabob, but will officially give a 4 Star rating because no Military or Veterans discount were recognized.
