The staff are super nice & attentive,
the parking at night🌙 is no issue. However, there is a huge free of charge garage right behind the restaurant.
Our first visit to this restaurant was indeed a pleasant one. Having recently moved into the DC area, we are on the lookout for good Indian restaurants. Bombay Tandoor did not disappoint. We ordered the vegetarian thali, and what a delight it was. Each item was fresh, well prepared, not overly greasy, and with a distinct flavor. The palak paneer was delightful, and the dal makhani was very impressive. The staff was attentive and very courteous. We were impressed and will be back for sure.
I've been coming to this restaurant off and on for nearly 20 years, mostly for special occasions. I've eaten in the restaurant, as well as ordered takeout, countless times and the food quality and service I've received has been the same. They have a large lunch buffet daily, with many options to sample if you're not sure what to order for a full meal. The service staff here has been kind and helpful, even funny at times with jokes - love it! The atmosphere is inviting and welcoming.
The location is very convenient near the Spring Hill metro station on the Silver Line. It is also across the street from Walmart and several other newer shops that have popped up in the area over the past few years.
This is the only Indian restaurant that still offered lunch buffet around Northern VA! (What happened all the weekday lunch buffets since Covid?!!) I love having variety when eating Indian food since they are typically so expensive if you buy a la carte and I have a hard time choosing one dish lol anyway I’m soooo glad we tried this place! They had a huge variety of dishes at the buffet and the food was on point! The service was great! Will def come back any time we r craving Indian during the week!
Favorite Indian place by far. I always come here when I am craving Indian food. It is so flavorful and has many options. They also have all you can eat lunch buffet and I like to go when I have time.
I recently hosted a milestone birthday party at Bombay Tandoor and my experience was so amazing that I wanted to come here and express my gratitude by writing them a good review. Everything was wonderfully executed and the food was absolutely delicious!!! A special shout out to Iftikar, the manager at the restaurant. He was so amazing to work with, his customer service is beyond what I expected and he delivered everything and more of what was decided. I would recommend anyone looking for a place to host a party to do it at Bombay Tandoor and just work with Iftikar.
Came here yesterday and both the food and service were excellent. I was with our two small kids and we got a spot behind a wall so they couldn't destroy the place which I was thankful for. The food was excellent and flavorful. The curry and paneer needed a little bit of salt but that was an easy fix. Highly recommended.
Service was great too.
Celebrated Christmas Day lunch with 11 family members. Great food and service. We ordered lamb chops and shrimp from a la carte. Laxman was awesome. They are in a hurry to clear plates so make sure if you are taking pictures or chatting they don’t take away expensive a la carte items or cutlery. Coming for years here and met Mr. and Mrs. Varma
Great selection at the buffet and continually refilled with fresh food. Only thing I would improve is more variety within the desert selection. They have different types of kulfi and gulab jamun when I went. I would want more than that.
PERFECT! Every Time. There are not enough good words in the dictionary to describe the food, service, staff, & atmosphere of this Gem. I have 3 favorite restaurants in my life and this is one of them. I bring work associates here and they all agree everytime with out question. Also they switch up the menu regularly. The flavor and spices will make your day/ weekend Extravagant and extraordinary. This place is Zen. I recommend this place and come at least weekly. My only complaint is open more! Lol
