Sushi is just favourite man... People say its an acquired taste but I don't really like seafood but I do love sushi and that too on the first go makes me wonder about the phrase ...hence here we are
Stopped in here for lunch today. I will start by saying that the Japanese steakhouse is one of my favorite cuisines. While in town, I decided to pass by this place for lunch.
I ordered the filet mignon. The steak quality was great, the vegetables fresh, and the fried rice very tasty. It would have been a home run if it wasn't for the yum yum sauce / shrimp sauce / whatever you want to call it. The sauce I had lacked flavor and is one of my favorite parts of the meal.
Other than that, food was great and service very good.
A bit pricey, but best Sushi quality.
I'd always go back.
My daughter's choice for her 21st birthday. Our party of 8 received excellent service and very good food.
Freshest fish Tysons. I don't know what the previous person is referring, I go here quite often because they have one of the freshest fish in all of Northern VA. I have stopped going to Tachibana, another long established Japanese restaurant in the area because the fish at Sakura was much more fresh and better presented. Additionally their pricing is about one-third lower and much QUICKER and better service. I think because they are so busy that their rotation of fish is much faster. I also love the atmosphere. Great food for the money...
Above average. They have pretty good lunch boxes for reasonable price.
Friendly servers, yummy food. Whether for the Habashi Steakhouse or for the Sushi, this place is awesome. Their servers are so friendly and their fried rice is cooked in mayo and mustard--yummy!
I didn’t get the best photo because I was completely distracted by the show! Our hibachi chef was awesome on our last visit. He was engaging and funny and my whole group had a blast. The food was cooked well and was delicious! The service staff was also attentive and friendly.
Years ago, my coworker and I used to frequent this place for the sushi. From the number of diners in the sushi part of the restaurant, I’m guessing their sushi is also still great!
This is a solid and consistent spot. Love it! Definitely going back!
Sakura, the Japanese Steak and Seafood house, offered a memorable dining experience, showcasing the artistry of Teppanyaki, where the chef skillfully prepared the food right in front of us. The live performance added a dynamic and engaging element, making the meal an entertaining spectacle. The option to share a table with others or reserve an entire table worked well for varying group sizes. Overall, Sakura provides not just a meal but a captivating culinary show, making it a delightful choice for those seeking a blend of delicious cuisine and interactive entertainment.
I was out in Tyson’s corner and this came up under sushi
I thought I would give it a try!
The food and service were excellent!
The Chef was good and a great entertainer as well.
The food and the quality of the food was excellent.
Everyone at our table had fun and left happy!
I highly recommend this place!
The front is for sushi!
The back is dine at the Habachi!
It is a very unique experience. The menu was simple yet varied and the drinks were pretty great.
I had the shrimp and chicken with a nice fresh Geisha as a drink and it was a lot of food. The chef was charismatic and cracking jokes as he cooked and very skilled.
Great food and quite the experience if you’re looking for that.
Some of the chefs there are really entertaining, some, not so much.
We were lucky to get chefs that were every time we go.
The food is good but its more the showmanship and🔥 + skill.
It was really really busy for mother’s day, despite that we waited 20 ish mins for the chef to come out and start his show.
He was funny and engaged everyone at the table.
Def recommend going to this specific location if you haven’t yet.
I took off a ★ because the restrooms were pretty smelly.
I liked the performance the "cheff" did when preparing the food right in front of you!
As always, delicious and fun!
I love their fried rice with a lot of vegetables👍🏼
The steak was juicy and very tasty.
The waiters are quick and friendly to serve people even when the restaurant is full and busy.
The cook was funny :)
We came here to celebrate the birthday of a friend. Most of the food is prepared in front of you, items are stir fried and served. The performance of cooking is a big part of the experience. Some of us were vegetarian and others were not, so server cooked the vegetarian items first, so meat eaters had to wait a bit.
If you are a smaller group, there will be others sitting at your table, or you might have to join a larger group.
Went during lunch and got the Filet Mignon and scallops with fried rice for only $23.
I felt the price was fair and the food was good.
Sakura delivers excellence every time. We came here before a concert and it hit the spot. I ordered the chicken hibachi with mushroom appetizer which also comes with soup and salad. The soup is basically a chicken broth with a few mushrooms. The salad has a ginger dressing and is very good. If you order a hibachi entree you also get a choice of appetizer like mushrooms, shrimp, or chicken livers. They also offer sushi made to order. If you do not want to sit at a hibachi seat as they have a separate dining area if your prefer. The portions are very large and cooked to perfection. There is ample parking directly out front and is right off route 7.
