Newk's Eatery

I ordered the shrimp po boy. The sandwich came with lettuce, tomato, pickles and red onions. I don't like pickles or red onions so they were left off the sandwich. Well, the sandwich was bland and the shrimp were very rubbery. Cocktail sauce was provided and it was very good. Maybe taking the pickles and red onions off the sandwich was a mistake. I enjoyed my husband's chicken salad though, very good!

I've been to several different Newk's and have always liked the food. Decided to stop at this location for lunch while in the area and was disappointed. My margherita pizza was so greasy I couldn't finish it. It's also supposed to come on a thin crust, which it didn't, and it didn't have any basil either. I had to ask for it, and they gave me blackened, wilted basil. Other people in my party also had very greasy pizza. One had a cheese pizza with burned cheese on top. This location has turned me off to Newk's and I can't imagine eating at one ever again.

I’ve worked here twice and I enjoy it. Great team members and I especially enjoyed the food. There people who come in early in the morning daily to get food prepared to make sure it’s fresh. The area spaces are clean and the managers are helpful. Not to forget to mention the great boss we had. My favorite food was the margarita pizza, Newks favorite, potato soup, chili soup (usually came in the winter), chicken salad sandwich, and the turkey avocado sandwich lol just to name a few. Anyways there are many great options to choose from and I’d say try them all!!

Took our order and never delivered the food. To their defense, their POS was down, but everyone that ordered at the same time as us got their food. Since there isn't a wait staff, no one bothered looking into the number that had been seated for a suspiciously long time. Might try going back, but it's doubtful

Ordered to-go thru the website for the first time. That process was easy enough. Upon arriving there is no clear signage as to where pickup orders park, or enter. The website said there was curbside pickup for pre-paid orders if you give them your phone number. I wound up parking, and going inside the front door. When I asked about it in the store, they said there wasn't any. I get back to the office to enjoy my lunch "meal" I paid over $10.00 for, just to discover that my coffee cup is bigger than my "bowl" of soup. Looks more like a snack. The soup tastes good, but for a lobster and crab bisque, there was barely any crustation meat in it, and what was there was overcooked. Just don't see the appeal. Maybe I'll try a salad next time. Update: just turned the cup over, and there is over 1/4 inch lip on the bottom of it, so you get even less than it appears. Also found a piece of shell, although that can be somewhat expected.
