Don Juan's Mexican Restaurant

We were on our way back home to Boise from a quick trip in Shoshone Falls and saw this restaurant on our way. It’s surprisingly cheap and the foods are amazing!! People are friendly and the environment is chill. Definitely coming back when we go to Twin Falls again. I love their Fried Ice Cream too!! They ran out of churros but hopefully I get to try them next time. So good.

Only about half of the tables were occupied when we arrived so I'm not sure why it took 90 minutes for our order to arrive. The food was delicious, but not worth a 90 minute wait. Update: The owner mentioned in her reply below that we were informed of the wait time. This is true. However, we were also told that the wait time would be approximately 45 minutes. I'm not sure why this restaurant has 8+ tables if they can't handle that many customers. A 90- minute wait is double what we were told. We stopped at another restaurant before choosing Don Juan's and were told the wait would be 45 minutes, but the line was out the door. That's why we said if we stayed the wait would be just as long. If we had been told the wait was actually 90 minutes from ordering, we would have gone somewhere else. We were able to eat at another restaurant tonight, recieved excellent food and were able to leave in less than an hour. It's certainly possible to serve fresh, delicious food in under 90 minutes. Again, the food was delicious, but not worth a 90 minute wait.
