You can taste love in dishes, and this restaurant serves dishes made by people who love the food. The beef in the dish I had delivered tasting notes in sequence, a feat only delivered by skilled and capable chefs. Front of house was kind, thoughtful, funny and generous - everything one could want. A seriously lovely experience, one that I recommend to everyone. There are things in life that are worth the money - this is one of those experiences that is worth more than whatever one pays regardless of the amount

Awesome food and even more amazing hospitality. Cory & Lilian are friendly, sweet, and thoughtful. Gave us recommendations on what to eat as well as where to go to Canada. Will definitely recommend to others

**Sir, you simply should read and consider the reviews about your chauvinistic mannerisms and delivery. You have a poor review of your restaurant due to YOUR service and food, as well as the lack there of customer service capabilities. Instead of berating the patrons of your restaurant, I genuinely hope you self-reflect and make better choices going forward with your attitude.
Until then, I stand by sharing The Red Fox for anybody looking for a high quality meal worth the money!
I traveled from Tampa, FL to visit Tupper Lake and read raving reviews about Amados. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted in the chef’s cooking capabilities and customer service. There was a mistake between the server and chef, which lead to a two hour delay in the food service. Additionally, the chef refused to acknowledge any fault nor would offer even a simple apology. After 3 hours and a $250 bill, we left displeased. Sadly I ordered a bacon cheeseburger in which they served the cheese cold and forgot the bacon. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. My extended family was born and raised in Tupper Lake and this was just a huge disappointment. GO TO THE RED FOX IF YOU WANT A GOOD MEAL!!!

Delicious! we had the kobe burger with truffle butter...I like the way it was presented, perfectly done. Also, nice little touches, fresh flowers, cloth napkins, nice atmosphere...Odd blend of wall colors that just work together..overall good experience.

Best French onion soup I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot of it :)

We waited 3 hours for a dinner for 6 guests. They completely forgot to put the order in. By the time the order was the placed, it was two hours past our reservation. Once the food arrived, the owners of the restaurant walked past our table multiple times and avoided eye contact at all cost knowingly they messed up. Meals were brought out between 20 minutes intervals, one meal at a time.... The terrible service was obvious, yet no compensation for the service or apology was provided. We’d be happy to come back if the mistakes were at least addressed. WE WILL NOT BE COMING BACK. Please don’t waste your time or money, you’ll thank me later. Just the absolute disrespect from management..... Don’t blame your staff, grow up and take responsibility for your business. This place won’t last long anyways with this kind of service. Read how the owner replies to reviews if you want to see how things are actually handled.

By far the best overall restaurant experience I've had thus far in the Adirondacks. The food was amazing (I had chilli wings as an appetizer and home made andoulli sausage and garlic mash as an entree while my partner had a black bean burger). I love the fact that almost all their items are home made and the choice of craft soda was also a plus. The wait staff was friendly and the food was on time. The atmosphere is rustic but not tacky. Their dressings are all proudly made in NY (olive oil, balsamic, etc). But it gets 5 stars instead of 4 because for all that I mentioned above, the price point was shockingly cheap. We spent less than $50....a meal of that caliber would have cost at least $100 in NYC. Definitely a culinary treasure of the Adirondacks. This was my first experience and I'll definitely be coming back again.
EDiT (2022): To the owner: we're leaving the Adirondacks for good in a week and was trying to visit this restaurant as our last stop because we had such a great time pre-pandemic but when we showed up at 5:30 on Wednesday (today), the door was locked so I'm assuming they were closed. You should update your hours - we drove from Potsdam to Tupper just for that.
