I was passing through town and stopped here on a whim. Managed to come in just before the Saturday night dinner rush. Food was excellent and service was great. Thanks!

I've eaten Mexican food in Mexico and across the US and I have not eaten any that were better than my meal a Molcajetes. Flavor, heat, freshness, and fair price. Service was excellent!!@

Very Authentic Mexican Food We enjoyed the meal, but it did not stand out as much more than average for us. The meal starts with chips that were probably fried in the restaurant. They weren't very fresh and crisp. The salsa is served in very small cups. You will need to ask for more. We had the Mole Enchiladas Chicken and the Carne Asada. I wanted to try their Consommé which was listed on the menu as a special that was only available on Saturday and Sunday. But, the waitress said they didn't have any this weekend. The mole on the enchiladas was very distinct. It had strong chocolate and cinnamon flavors. They were generous with four chicken filled enchiladas. I did not care for at all. My wife enjoyed them. The carne asada was very typical. Two large very thinly sliced steaks that had been char grilled. It came with beans, rice, a grilled onion, pico de gallo and a chili toreado! They serve two bottles of some type of refrigerated sauce with the meal. I am not sure what each was made of, but there both good. I'm guessing that it was some type of sour cream based sauce with combinations of cilantro, tomatillo, avocado and peppers. Folks that are knowledgeable of traditional Mexican food probably know what they are. The restaurant was crowded when we got there. The wait for the food was short. The service overall was average. This restaurant seems to have strong following of customers that prefer true authentic Mexican food. I have driven by Molcajetes at different hours of the day and they always have several cars out front. At meal time the parking lot is packed! If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection "Jalapeno Highway" on Yelp. I've probably been there.

Loved every bit of it. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. For as much food as we got, the prices are excellent. There was a pretty good live band playing some Mexican oldies but goodies. It was really loud inside but that's because everyone was enjoying themselves. We had a very good time. It probably won't be long before we're back ...

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food THIS IS THE PLACE. We loved it so much we ate here two days in a row. The molcajete is fantastic and could feed two people. I had some left to take home. The Chile rellenos are very good. My teenagers got street tacos on homemade corn tortillas and said they are fabulous. The shrimp cocktail is definitely chefs kiss

Best Mexican food in Tulsa. Hands down. Since moving out here from California a few years ago, I've had a hard time finding my fix for good Mexican food. This place hits the spot and meets all my expectations

Molcajetes was the closest I have tasted to the menu items we have dined on in progresso mexico and other Mexican cities. The taste was good, the atmosphere was great and the accordion and live table songs took this restaurant to the top of my places to dine for Mexican cuisine! If you have not visited please do. We will make this our restaurant of choice from now on!!! Our waitress even took the time to help with our Spanish lessons!

Food was fire is all I can say. A coworker told me about the place and I’m glad I checked it out. I drove from across town to eat and it was worth it. The food was hot and fresh the service was good too. We will be back for sure even though it’s really busy.

Big portions, great prices, & amazing service. First time here and this definitely won’t be my last. The chips and queso could be a bit thicker but they were still delicious. My margarita was PERFECTION. I got the rolled tacos they were a bit on the burnt side towards the ends but the middle was juicy and flavorful. My boyfriend got the original molcajete it could have fed both of us & was so delicious! I can’t wait to try more of their menu.
