The inside is really cozy, good for small gatherings and dates but I wouldn't consider this a younger kid friendly place. Very clean and staff was really friendly. Food was really good but come hungry because the portions are huge! Lol.

Before moving to Tulsa from California, I came to visit with my mom, to check out the town before my big move. Long story, short, she and I found The Chowhouse and ate there twice during our visit. I loved it then and I love it even more now. Now, a year later, as a Tulsa resident, The Chowhouse is my ultimate comfort. The team is amazing, so down to earth, genuinely kind, and efficient in what they do. Josh & Julie are usually the associates I engage with and I adore them both. I haven't made many friends here yet, so they're the closest thing I have to an acquaintance 😂 lol. Josh & Julie are great servers with even better customer service. The food is delicious. It's all warm, fresh, comfort food. The Mac & Cheese, the Chicken & Waffles & The Southwest Burger are the best things on the menu! You gotta try it. A great treasure in downtown Tulsa.

THE CHOWHOUSE downtown Tulsa on 18 Reconciliation Way. We have just recently discovered this restaurant. I understand it's been there for years & use to be called Chaz's Chowhouse. We are very impressed with the food here. My husband and I can share meals & get salads. It's great food for the money. Everyone is super friendly. We've tried the Catfish, Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes & green beans, pot roast & a couple of the salads & everything is really really good. It tastes the way you hope it will & I think that's saying a lot. My 4 year old granddaughter ate every green bean, then drank the juice! 😂👏

The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was fantastic and the service was exceptional! Asher was our server, and he was quick, friendly, and definitely made our experience one to remember. It was mine and my boyfriends first time going and it won't be our last! He says the calf fries were the best he's had, the chicken fried chicken for me was absolutely amazing! Best pickle chips we've had and we highly recommend trying their cucumber Wasabi dip! Oh! And their sweet tea? Best I've had In a restaurant in a long time!

As a Tulsa visitor we took a chance on this restaurant and The Chowhouse knocked it out of the park. Our waitress, Crystal, was extremely patient and helpful as we had ESL guests with us. She made sure everyone was well cared for. Each of our meals were hot and delicious. The portion sizes were huge and everyone left full. I highly recommend it for some great American comfort food. Pictured is the catfish I had.

OMG! Came here with my ex for the first time and the food was one thing. But my server... my server Asher was AMAZING! Probably the best service I've ever had in my life. If I could give the service 100 stars, I would. As for the food, I had the fried green tomatoes (amazing), the spinach artichoke dip (amazing), chicken and waffles with Mac N Cheese... the waffle was SO good! And normally I don't like non baked Mac n cheese but this Mac n cheese was so rich and full of flavor. As for dessert, this apple dumpling, it was SO butter rich. I'm coming back for the catfish next. 😋 Stop in here, ask for Asher and you won't regret it.

The best pot roast I've ever eaten, hands down! The drinks were great, too, and very reasonably priced. My wife enjoyed the PBT sandwich as well. Our waiter/bartender was great. All the staff were so friendly. It's definitely our new go-to spot whenever we are in Tulsa.

Fun atmosphere, the hostess/our waitress Julie was super adorable and very polite and friendly. She was very on top of checking on us, each time she walked by she glanced at each table and about every other time woukd ask how things were. We had the pickle chips, and oh my, they were so good and so many of them. That batter on them was so good and they were so crisp! My husband and I split a Cuban it was ok. It was a little dry. Many times when we've had one, it has coleslaw or shredded lettuce with diced tomatoes. We felt this one needed something. Even if it was more cheese or sauce, it would have been better. The onion rings were very good. My first Bloody Mary was delicious the second one seemed heavy on horseradish(?). Bathrooms were clean and roomy. Overall good experience!

We loved this restaurant in downtown Tulsa!! Our food was delicious. We had the sweetest server and the place was decorated so pretty for the holidays. I loved that they had Christmas music playing as well. I got the chicken fried steak and it was so dang good!! My hubby got the catfish and he loved his as well!! We will most definitely come back the next time we’re visiting.
