This is the first time I’m trying this chain of restaurant - Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. It’s true first impression is the best impression and that’s what exactly happened. We two families had a wonderful lunch time here. As a complimentary you get Honey Butter Croissants, which you can’t resist to eat more (ordered one more as well). We wanted to try Herb Roasted Chicken which was limited time and we just missed it. Had one drink- Cheddar's Painkiller. For appetizer we ordered grilled shrimp 🍤 & chicken tenders. Main course went too big- Creamy Garlic blackened tilapia, Grilled salmon, Junior chicken cheese Burger (for kid he din’t like it and went for fish rather), New Orleans Pasta & Chicken Tenders & Shrimp. All these came with own choice of sides like Coleslaw, steamed broccoli, baked stuffed cheese potato 🥔 & green beans. All came well done and very tasty. It was not just the food but the hospitality was very respectful. Finished everything as enjoyed every bite of the food. Definitely recommend people to get in once and enjoy their food feats.

Our server was the best and my personal fav were the sweet croissants 🤤 the wait time was a little bit long from the time we ordered to when we got our food, but that was because our server was literally the only one doing tables! It was crazy. Other than that, food was amazing, decor was amazing and our server was the best!!

6 Fri, just before Valentines day, got seated in 10 min. Croissants better than the 3 Michelin star Disney meal, Steak perfectly cooked Coconut shrimp melted in the mouth, wine perfect temp allowed to breath and didn't skimp on the pour.Great Mango tea. Even the corn was a cut above. Best experience in a long time. The Steak I put as the second best in the area behind Molly's in Catoosa. Service impeccable friendly helpful.

Cheddar's was such a wonderful place to celebrate with my family for my son's graduation 🎓. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere with contemporary setting. The staff is warm and inviting. The timeliness to be seated was on point. The food was flavored nicely and cooked correctly. The restaurant was clean and hygienic and the bathrooms were clean and sanitized. I recommend this gem to be frequented. Cheddar's is very affordable with general portions. I am a very pleased and satisfied customer. Thankful for a wonderful experience to compliment my son's special day.

Atmosphere is good and the service and great but food seems to have gone down in quality. Haven't been here in 6-7 years and when we were there this last time, food quality was just okay but not horrible. I'll be back again hoping that my last visit was a fluke on the food.

The kitchen got my order wrong....but the burger was wonderful so who cares I had a bacon "double" cheese burger! It was enormous!! Cooked the way I liked...the discrepancy was with my side..... everyone else at the table was good....going to try Chicken pot pie myself next time!

I went for lunch and they serve dining portions for lunch which is the sad part. I wish they had lunch specials with lesser quantity and lesser price. Overall it was a good experience.

Went to Cheddars as a last-minute "date night" with my significant other and our little one. My server Karissa did an excellent job! She was extremely patient while we all ordered. The food order was correct, came out hot & in a timely manner. Drinks were always full. I appreciate her kindness. I've been going to Cheddars for many years. This was my best experience. Hope to have her as my server next time!

We waited at our table for 15 minutes with no acknowledgment at all. They didn't even take our drink order. Wait staff kept walking past us and wouldn't even make eye contact. We finally walked out after letting the manager know why we were leaving. I have been there several times before with no complaints, but I will probably never go back again.

They told us the wait would be thirty minutes we were sat in 10. The Patron margaritas were delicious. We finished the appetizer which was perfect for two but barely were able to eat dinner. The appetizer was too filling! The fish, shrimp, and chicken all had great flavor.
The service was also amazing! I always love going to Cheddars!

I am so glad I took the time to eat at this place. It was a great place, great prices, outstanding service, and comfortable atmosphere. We will definitely be going back. I got the chicken and coconut shrimp with cheddar broccoli casserole & fries as pictured, my husband got the chicken pot pie with a side of coleslaw, and we shared the hot fudge cake sundae. We took a generous amount of food home as well. 10/10 reccomend anyone and everyone to go eat here at least once.

Sad experience. Service was very slow and ineffective. We sat down at 630 pm. The noise was deafening. The waiter was mediocre. I personally didn't get any of my sides and the 12is rib eye was overlooked. But how do you get medium rare on something that thin? I won't make this evening meal mistake again.

We recently moved to Bartlesville,OK. We went to Cheddars in Norman,Ok all of the time and had the best service ever and loved going there every time we went to eat. Yesterday (1-15-17) we took our son and wife to the one in Tulsa. So glad there was one here too. It was the worst experience ever. Seated immediately, the waitress took our order and brought us water to drink. about 40 minutes later she came back with croissants and said these are complementary, nothing elsesaid then after about 1.5 hours our food arrived!!! It was luke warm, my baked potato was cold and cheese was hard on it. She never once came back with water to drink. I had to go find a waitress to get me a glass of water before leaving. I have never seen such poor service. We love Cheddars, but this was not excusable. There were 2 booths of 6 in each booth come after we did, ordered after we did and then they were served and left before we did. What iswrong with this picture???????????????? We were at Cheddars resturant #0140 on 71st St South. Four guest 10086. I don't know what the problem was, waitress??? Kitchen??? But, I am so very disappointed in this restaurant and am not sure I would ever recommend your restaurant to anyone. Thanks for listening

Just an all-around great family restaurant. This is definitely friendly on the pocket book, especially for my familia of 6. I rarely order chicken tenders and where but I definitely do her, buffalo style of course. Several apps to choose from and they're priced great because sometimes that what ends up being my kid's meals. It can't be very busy on Fri-Sunday but they do a great job get people in and out, but not rushed. The burgers are ok here nothing to call home about but they are good and you won't be disappointed.

This place really is a great value. I have a couple of friends that frequent quite often, and I definitely see why. The menu is a bit too large for me, makes my decision a little tougher. I recommend trying the broccoli casserole as a side, it's quite good.

Love this restaurant! Usually always great service even how busy they get. They do a great job getting people in and out. I usually get the veggie plate which comes with a side salad and a choice of 4 sides. Boyfriend always gets the chicken tender platter and we split their chips and queso.

Too LOUD!. We have dinned here twice in the past month; sad to say, but we will NOT return. Although the food and variety is okay, it is not remarkable. Service is okay. However, it is VERY LOUD. Each visits were at different times of the day, so, I am guessing the noise level is a constant. The back-ground music is very loud, which I thinks adds to the problem. My husband and I both were getting a headache from all the noise, and could not wait to leave. Second visit was with friends; they had the same impression. We could not even carry on a conversation.

My son and I visited cheddars this last saturday 07/19/2014 later in the evening to avoid the usual long wait. We were seated promptly in the center of the restaraunt and greeted promptly by the best server we have ever had their named Jordan Pickup. The food and service as mentioned before were both excellent. The issue we had with this visit was with the management whom I honestly thought were a hostess and a cook judged by their dress and outloud disdain for our server which I will explain. Our server was on his way to another table with a tray of drinks when I happened to get up as he walked by knocking the tray from his hands. My back got covered in some drink and the glasses on the tray shattered cutting the poor boys hand. He made sure I was alright and vigorously apologized before tending to his wound and once I apologized and told him not to worry and to take care of his cut he went in the back to clean up. That's when who I thought were a hostess and a cook who were watching all this happen sprang into action trying to coax complaints about this young man out of the folks he was serving and obviously using this accident as a reason to I assume fire him. They moved every table he was waiting on as he cleaned up except my son and I as well as failing to acknowledge myself being the only one affected by the dropped tray. After this we could hear these two in the back yelling at our server to confess he was on drugs. By the time Jordan got back to our table he was nearly in tears and still apologizing for my wet shirt. We told him we could hear the harassment that he was enduring and asked for a manager to talk to to help him out. When he imformed me the cook and hostess were the managers on duty I was in utter disbelief. We payed and left him twenty dollars which was less than he deserved but if tye management team there is all thisb unprofessional and abusive of their few good employees and anyone who has been to cheddars knows a good server there is very few there needs to be a major overhaul of who's in charge because what we witnessed was just plain abuse. I for one will not be returning to Tulsa Cheddars and I can only hope Jordan our wonderful server does the same.

Great bang for your buck. I always love it here. The food isn't FABULOUS, but it's great for the price.. low price, good food. New Orleans Pasta is to die for. That's a safe, amazing dish. I also like the environment and have always received great, friendly service.

I wasn't expecting fine dining when I walked in, but I did expect friendly staff and edible food. Both were apparently too much to ask. Firstly the staff all looked like they were being drug off to the gallows. Then we were served hot iced tea. I ordered pot roast and was served a quivering pile of beef fat on potatoes that tasted instant. My son ordered a steak and ended up with a tough piece if bleeding meat and a hit salad. Will never darken their doorstep again!

Good Value. Very good food for the price especially in this area (71st). My wife and 3 daughters have been eating here for years and love it. Today was my first time. I thought it was very good for the reasonable price. I had a 8oz sirloin with half rack of baby back ribs for 13.99. It was good, not great. The sirloin was small and a little chewy with fair flavor (typical sirloin). I wouldn't go here if I wanted a really good steak. The ribs were falling off the bone tender and lathered in a sweet/spicy bbq sauce that I did enjoy. From a bbq contest point of view the ribs were over cooked (falling off the bone) and the added sauce after cooking is a no no. That said it was good. My wife had a cajun pasta dish she liked. I had a margarita and it was about $31. I would go here again if invited with no hesitation. If I'm picking the place and want steak, this isn't it. There is only a sirloin and a ribeye on the menu and I am a filet guy so there you go. There is something for everyone on the menu and I thought it to be a nice place.

This place is horrible! I got a steak and as I was eating it every bite was fat! I ask to speak to one of the mangers about the steak and they sent out the head chef. He ask me what was wrong so I told him this is not a steak. He look at me and said no that is a steak. I responded by telling him its a slab of fat you grilled and then served it with mash potatoes and corn!

Cheddar's cafe - Dinner - GOOD. We went here from out of town , after a long day at the softball fields , we were starving....we were seated immediately...and the service was quick!. We ordered for dinner ---my daughter got the grilled chicken breast with veggies ,, my husband got the roast beef, with mashed potatoes and I got a chicken breast avocado sandwhich on ciabatta bread......my 8 year old ordered the penne pasta in marinara sauce from the kids menu and LOVED IT!!!! we all enjoyed our entree's and were pleased with our food....we all then ordered the 99 cent dessert cups, we tried the KEY LIME PIE and Chocolate dessert which were really fabulous and the perfect portions to finish off the entire dinner....we enjoyed dinner here and for the overall total bill the food and service were great!!!

Enjoyable. I'm not wild about chain restaurants; but I can't deny these folks the credit they deserve. <br/><br/>Went to their 71st St. location in Tulsa last week... <br/><br/>I liked the decor: Lots of brick and plants w/ appropriate lighting. However, the overall atmosphere was just ok <br/> In any busy restaurant, a certain amount of noise is to be expected; and Cheddar's wasn't terrible- at least in the area we were seated in. I hated the music they were playing, though (some kind of Disco duck music). Combine the (otherwise acceptable level of) noise with the annoying music and the end result definitely took away from my Cheddar's Experience.<br/><br/> Everyone we dealt with there was very nice, and our waitress was patient. She did get part of my order wrong, but hey, people make mistakes. She had perfect timing in regard to drink refills- that was great.<br/><br/>The food was good, and there was plenty of it. I ordered the Triple Threat Appetizer plate and ate it as a meal. If you think that's strange, you're probably right; but I enjoyed it. I ended up with Chicken Fingers with Honey Mustard for dipping, Loaded Potato Skins (I was going for the Mozzarella sticks) with Ranch for dipping, and Beef, Bean, & Cheese Nachos with Sour Cream. The Chicken Fingers were good (not great), and while the Mustard struck me as a weird choice to go with chicken, the pairing wasn't bad. The Nachos were tasty, and Sour Cream complimented them well. The Loaded Potato Skins were a bit odd, but interesting. Can't remember all of the toppings, but bacon was one. I'm not a major Ranch dressing fan, but Cheddar's Ranch sauce was very impressive. It's probably the best Ranch I've ever had.<br/><br/> I did manage to eat everything on my plate, along with a croissant offered by my dining partner*. Afterwards, I felt like a small elephant.<br/><br/><br/><br/>* She had the catfish dinner and loved it.

Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Average to below average for bar food. If you have a discerning palate, then the food stinks. Service was decidedly below average. <br/>It did not help that we were seated in the booth by the back door, which was frequently used for people to go smoke. And the door would be held open, so that it did not lock behind the person using it. Cheddars - Stop the Madness!! Have people stop using this door for normal access.<br/>This is what I call a two trip restaurant. My initial visit was my first trip there, and my last trip there.

Love it!. To those saying that the food is horrible for you and that they are part of the reason people are unhealthy all I can say is... That's dumb! They have healtier options just like all places do! You can't blame them for what people eat! Stop ragging on them! They have plenty of veggies and salad and stuff! So to everyone else ignore that one person complaining on here and go check them out! The food is good! You shouldn't expect gourmet anyway for their prices! Go somewhere that charges 3 times what they charge if you want gourmet!! They have good food! Great onion rings! And really good drinks! I LOVE the Maui Margarita!! The service is usually decent. Not always perfect but no big complaints from me!! Check them out sometime!

Only meh. After hearing lots about Cheddar's onion rings, we decided to try them. Indeed, the onion rings were excellent...but they were alone in that designation.<br/>It's not that the food was bad, per se, just that it wasn't that good. The breading on the fried chicken in my salad had flaked off and become soggy, the pieces of chicken were too large and had been plopped on the lettuce while too hot, resulting in wilted salad. My companions found their food to be rather meh as well. <br/>All in all, not really bad, just not good enough to brave the 71st street mess.

Wow,what a pleasant surprise! Really good American food.. My darling and I went to Cheddars around 10 pm one night and were pleasantly surprised how much we really liked the place. Open late on weekends and very nicely designed with stone, wood and upscale touches. The menu was quite extensive and varied and the prices very reasonable for Tulsa.<br/>We had some kinda drink concoction,multicolored frozen thingy that had a cactus shooter...excellent. Maui Margarita, I think.<br/>I had ribs and shrimp with string beans and cheese casserole. Ribs were a tad bit burnt but with their delicious sauce, I gobbled 'em up anyway! Shrimp were perfectly breaded,very tasty and cooked just right. I love ole fashioned southern string beans that have been cooked to death on the stovetop and I got them just like my aunt Bessy used to make, God rest her soul. Cheese casserole very good too.<br/>The Danish had a New Orleans pasta that I swear was just as good if not better that the Louisiana pasta at twice the price down the road at Cheesecake Factory. Shrimp cooked a delicious cajun spice cream sauce that was so large we took home half of it for another side dish.<br/>Anyway, this is a small chain but I gotta say a darn good one and we will definitely be back!<br/>4/30/2011<br/>Return visit not so entralled. For appitizer, we got some kinda loaded potato wedge thingys, were covered with cheese and bacon, you dip in sour cream or dressing.GOOD. The Texas Tea was fne but prefer the Maui Mango Margarita much better. This time I had the pasta and although tasty, seemed too heavy and rich,shrimp were not cooked enough either. Should have gotten the excellent looking Fried Catfish, next time. Dane had the spagetti lazagna that he said was just average. Finsihed off with a chocolate chip cookie a la mode with hot fudge that wasnt so hot.<br/>Screaming children at the next table throwing food on the floor, booths that are not properly fastened so when the table next to you moves, you move with them! Lights were shining right in our eyes, we asked them to be dimmed but this never happened....oh well, we'll still go back, we like this very reasonably priced attractive restaurant overall.

Very Surprised. We're in town on business for a few weeks, and have been suffering through a lot of hotel food and all around junk, we decided to venture out and try Cheddar's. We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken immediately. After taking a few minutes to look over the uncomplicated menu, I decided on the chicken tenders, broccoli rice casserole, and the bake potato with a salad as well. My husband ordered the Monte Cristo, baby carrots, and broccoli rice casserole, and a salad as well. We ordered the pasta for our 2 year old. <br/>It took about 5 minutes for our salads to arrive, and they were both big enough to share with our kids. When our meals arrived, I gasped when I saw the enormous amount of food. It really was shocking. I was only able to eat one of the chicken tenders, and I shared my broccoli with my 10 month old. After the food arrived, I decided to order a Texas Sweet tea. and I'm glad I did. It was really good, and it was only 3.50, which is about half what it would cost at other places I've been. <br/>In the end, were pleasantly surprised at the food and service, especially for the price. And to address the comment about this place being unhealthy, other than the portions, it's no different than any other chain, and since we got 2 meals and a snack out of our meal, it really was a good value. Doubtful anyone goes and finishes an entire meal in one setting.

DELICIOUS!. I LOVE THIS PLACE! The food is delicious and servers are always friendly! The food portion is also great. In today's economy it is hard to find good food for a cheap price. That's why I love the big portions because whenever I'm not as hungry, I'm able to take my leftovers to go. Most restaurants I've been to, the prices are always excessively high, but the portions are always super tiny, which is a complete rip off. Therefore, I highly recommend Cheddar's. I always come out satisfied!

Why?. I don't like rants just for the sake of rants, but I simply cannot figure this place out. Why do we need Cheddar's? Why is it always so busy? Nobody needs that much food, especially most of the people who seem to go there. It only tastes good because its loaded with fat and salt - not because the ingredients are fresh or of high quality. They should rename it "Insulin's".<br/><br/>The people who work there are sweet and attentive, and it's clean, and looks nice inside, but the portions and entrees are a sign of the apocalypse. It's basically a step above Golden Corral, and just below Cheesecake Factory. The food here is so unhealthy, and so much of it, that it would need to taste 100x better to justify going. Certainly isn't worth waiting 30-40 minutes at lunch for a table to consume it. I've never seen anyone leave there without a take-home bag, so I guess it's a good value for money if you have found McDonald's to be ineffective at helping you eat yourself to death. Cheddar's patrons, you're killing America. Stop. Just stop.

The 95-96 chicago bulls of restaurants. The best restaurant I have ever eaten at is cheddars on 71st. always slammed, not busy; Slammed! Great prices, great portions, great food, great service, and now they do carryout. I own a restaurant and I am so jealous of these guys. A manager told me they average over $20000 a day in business. To put that in perspective, a typical Mcdonalds only does about $5000 a day in business. These guys make me proud to be an american.

A favorite lunch spot. One of my favorite places to go for lunch. The food is always good, fresh and the service is great. Prices are very reasonable. The only think is you have to get there early if you don't want to wait for a table.

GREAT ONION RINGS. LOVE their onion rings on appetizer menu.. light flaky coating.. and their croissants are really good. Have to agree about the service. I also have issues with items being served cold and barely warm. Maybe someone there reads this.........

Stay Classy Tulsa-eigo. Cheddars has been a classic Tulsa choice for quite some time now...just about every time I've gone, the parking lot has been full. Of course they have a prime location, so that probably doesn't hurt. The food goes a long way too, by the way. I do agree with Tom, I don't think I've ever seen the same server twice, and I don't remember ever having a notable service experience here, despite countless times of coming, but I disagree in the food section. I think at Cheddars you get good bang for your buck (dishes are enormous) and normally they're quite flavorful. My favorite are the chicken tenders (though those are not tenders from any chicken I've ever seen, these are really like sliced chunks of also huge chicken breasts), normally well seasoned, never burned or dry and come with some good mashed potatoes. Normally not enough gravy though, but only a small complaint. Overall, the service could be better and there could be a hint more parking but Cheddars will give you a monster of a meal that actually tastes good too.

Disappointing. I used to be a huge fan of Chedders, but the service has gotten worse, and the food has gotten rather bland. I dont know if it was a bad night or what, but the waiter was rather busy with trying to seduce the other table and not refilling my drink.

Good Cheep food!. Cheddar's is always busy, but well worth the wait. The food is good and the service is usually very good. The wait is always very long but I chalk that up to the quality of the food and the price.
