We had dinner at night and it was so good we came back in the morning for breakfast. We have stopped here for years and the food has always been good. The breakfast is out of this world good definitely stop in and give it a try. The new owner decided to open for breakfast and so glad they did it was the best! Service was out of this world great as well!

Warm, inviting and clean; welcoming atmosphere; good food; friendly, courteous and attentive staff. Should, however, consider improving the aesthetic quality of their dishes - food was tasty but somewhat unappealing. Customers also ‘eat’ with their eyes. Appreciated the excellent Christmas decorations which seemed to be a labor of love. Recommend it.

Restaurant was busy so I thought it would be a good place. They Han excellent salad bar, and atmosphere was nice. Real family feeling. FYI their Tucumcari T-bone wasn’t good. It was tough and tasteless. But everything else was great and management made up for the steak. I ate some of it so I didn’t expect anything in the way of compensation, but they still took some off of my bill. So I made it up in Route 66 souvenirs. I’m still giving a 4 star to them for integrity.

This resturant is truly a hidden gem! Chips and salsa were served right away with our drinks. Both were devoured before they hit the table lol.. I ordered the combination plate with a beef taco, beef burrito, beef enchilada, and a chili relleno. Had red chili on every thing! The Taco shell was different than your normal taco shell and was sooo good. The chili relleno was filled with cheddar cheese and tasted good. The enchilada and the burrito literally tasted exactly the same but were still very delicious. My better half ordered the steak and was happy with her order. Waitress was really nice and made sure we were taken care of throughout our meal. We were given sopaipillas at the end of our meal and they were hands down the best I have ever had. Super fluffy and soft. Finished up our meal with coconut cream pie which was not super sweet but really delicious! The whip cream on top was also coconut flavored which added another layer of flavor to the pie. Plenty of parking and I am just glad they don't have billboards along i25 telling everyone to go here, otherwise there would be a reservation only situation happening! They have a salad bar that we didn't try but had a few noodle/pasta dishes along with some soups. They also have a small store where you can buy New Mexico trinkets and what not. Truly an amazing restaurant slightly off the interstate.

If you happen to find yourself in Tucamcari around lunch or dinner time, this spot on Route 66 (all of 4 min off the interstate) is worth the detour. We happened to find ourselves staying the night in town on our way back to TX and needed a place to eat. With no real desire to hit up an adjacent fast food spot we decided to visit "Historic Route 66" just .8 miles or so from our hotel immediately off the interstate. There were several local eateries there but clearly the 'action' was at Del's. We were at first concerned about the wait simply due to the number of cars in the parking lot and the number of people sitting inside waiting for a table. However after putting our name on the list and waiting no more than 10 min they got to our party of 4. All staff was friendly. The portions were good sized without being overwhelming. The food itself was also good. The decor was very classic route 66 down the ketchup bottles being the old glass variety instead of newer plastic bottles. Kids loved the place and we were happy to have eaten here than just grabbing a burger and going back to our hotel.
