Alice's Restaurant

After reading some of the reviews for this place hubby and I were a bit hesitant to dine here. We figured we'd give it a chance and it was fine. The waitress was really friendly and paid just the right amount of attention to us. The place was packed I think we got the last booth but we still got our food quickly. Food is fine. We had breakfast and it was just plain. I got French toast because it's my favorite and it reminded me of how my mom cooked hers. She was the worst cook in the world, and Alice's makes their French toast just like she did.with wheat sandwich bread and it is nothing to write home about. It is to so boring but hey, not the end of the world. I don't know what wes happening when all those bad reviews were posted but I think they deserve a chance..

The brick walls are painted shiny red and black, with vintage Coke bottles displayed from front to back. A large caricature of Alice is painted on the wall, maybe six or seven or eight feet tall. The wait staff is pleasant, the food is quite good, and the numbers on the menu look small like they should. So get up on Saturday, take her down for a bite, and before you finish your bacon, you'll be feelin' alright.

This place is a great little restaurant, especially if you need a menu that has plenty of inexpensive options. The food we ordered was really good and the portion was just right. The food came before we started thinking about it and it didn't feel like it was overpriced. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We'll be back!
