This place is amazing. I see some negative reviews of the place and it was mostly about the service, but I'm from California and their service is exceptional. Their drinks are on point and their food is on point with made to order corn tortillas YUM. How can you go wrong with made to order corn tortillas? There are some new liquors here that I've never had before which may be due to the restaurant being 40 mins from the border. Sotol and tepache have been my favorite here since I have been visiting. I wish I could give this place 5+ stars. Keep up the good work guys.

Wow the Tucson foodies are right! This place is a must try, the food was perfect! Fresh and flavorful :) the staff was friendly (shout out to Tristan: our server who was friendly and on top of everything) we had a fantastic experience here and we plan to have many more dinners here. I recommend the pozole, empanadas and the carnitas. Sangria was perfect- not sweet but just right. I must also add that the salsa was delicious 🤤 pick this place for your next date night. The environment is perfect for a chill dinner experience.
Delicious food, okay service, and romantic setting. We got the carnitas tacos, which were incredibly flavorful. And the bone in pork chop which was cooked to perfection. The side that it came on was delicious as well. The churros were crunchy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. The food does not come out quick, but I assume because it’s all made to order.
I only gave it a 4 star because the service was a little slow and inattentive and we had to ask for refills multiple times.

Very nice staff. Our server Carlos was amazing he went above and beyond. Sorry for the blurry picture but these were so good my friends and family couldn't wait to eat them. Highly suggest ordering the churros for dessert. Music could have been slightly turned down. It was a little too loud for me. Oh and they had this vast variety of beans, grains, pickled and dried fruits and vegetables. Very cool!
Every bite was good. I could have had an entire plate of the sautéed veggies that were under the bone in pork chop. Delicious, fancy - but tiny - cocktails.
My wife and I recently went for dinner to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. When we arrived, we got a seat towards the back. It was nice and quiet which was perfect. However, the kitchen door would remain cracked which was distracting seeing the cooks. I did see some wipe their forehead or scratch their nose with the back of their hand with the same gloves they use to cook. Not the best thing to see before you eat. We get how kitchens work but we preferred not to see that. We didn't make a big stink, but we asked to be seated somewhere else which happened with no problem. The waitress was nice and knew the Menu well. We got some cocktail to start which were nice. I got the drink with bacanora which was strong but flavorful. For the appetizer, we got the bone marrow. It was hardy and seasoned just enought where you can enjoy the marrow. It comes with pickled onion, chimichurri I believe, and warm Tortillas. We made a taco out of it and crush it quick. For entree, I got the beef ribs with hominy. It was perfect. It had a raspberry sauce I believe with some greens to make it pop. 10 of out 10 dish. My wife got the fish. Honestly, it was underwhelming for the price point. At around 30 bucks, i would have expected a better delivery. It might be pan seared perhaps but it came in a bit dry. By itself, it was okay. The toppings saved the day. I would not order that again. We finished with a round of drinks and called it a night.
Lovely little upscale Mexican restaurant tucked away downtown with great food and service. Our appetizers and churros were lovely even with the peanut salsa. Aside from the table that tilted to the side, no complaints and bring thanks to Paula for a great night. See you soon Penca!
Delicious menu, with creative drinks and appetizers. High quality, and perfect for any occasion. Highly recommend
Stepping into this central Mexican haven in Tucson feels like a journey to the rustic heart of Mexico, but with a modern twist befitting a big city vibe. The décor seamlessly combines old-world charm with contemporary flair, creating an atmosphere that's both cozy and cosmopolitan.
The sangria here deserves its own applause. A sip transports you to sun-soaked vineyards, and it's the perfect companion to an evening filled with laughter and good company.
While the food holds its own, it plays a bit of second fiddle to the local Sonoran-style restaurants in town. It's like enjoying a solid performance in a city known for its blockbuster shows. The flavors are there, but the competition is fierce in a town that takes its Mexican cuisine seriously.
Nevertheless, this spot is a charming escape to central Mexican flavors without leaving the heart of Tucson. So, if you're in the mood for a stylish twist on rustic traditions, accompanied by top-notch sangria, this is your ticket to a Mexican culinary adventure.
Whoa my God the food (and tequila flights) here are so good. We sat at the bar and had great service.
My only critique is the location on Broadway is incredibly unfriendly to people biking. We had to bike on the sidewalk from our hotel and there was no bike parking.
Easily one of the 5 best restaurants in Tucson. Great cocktails and mezcal/tequilas,innovative modern Mexican food, the tacos, short rib and tuétano ( bone marrow ) shine and the ceviche is always spot on. Great space and staff, always a good vibe/ buzz in the atmosphere.
