My official Review : Mary Japanese Noodle Shop
Hello everyone, here it goes. So I came here twice so far. Let me tell you though my experience was okay at first and knew it was a bit there lacking from my first impression. Don’t get me wrong first time there wasn’t terrible it was just mediocre. So I thought hey try again it won’t do any harm .
First off it’s not a place to really be catered to , you order at the front and have a seat while your food gets prepared which I usually don’t like but I let that slide.
So yeah I went for a second time to hopefully get the better of the prior experience and hope for the best. Well to tell you, I’m very glad I did.
I went and did my thing ordered and got my ramune and sat down. Just let me tell you though when I say down and had that first taste of that ramen I was in heaven. I immediately could tell it was made by a different cook. I mean it literally spoke and slapped my face in comparison from the bowl I had the first time, like this was made with love and a good technique, truly delicious. The last time I ate I didn’t even finish the broth but this time I ate it all , sipped that broth and was sad that it was over. I was incredibly pleased to the point I had to know who made my food. Her name was Amber, truly a sweet person and humble. Just know if she is working her magic back there you’re in for a good time.
I highly recommend trying this place. I will definitely be back again.
Thanks for the read.
Walked in off the street and treated like an old friend!!! The manager asked if I liked spicy, i grinned from ear to ear and he said bet! He brought it and brought it good and delicious!!!!
I'm so glad they've opened a midtown location. Amazing broth for Ramen, now with the high quality sashimi we remember of Yoshimatsu. It's already a popular place. Can get busy at dinner time, so plan ahead. Chirashi is excellent.

I love this since the first time when I got there with my mom since June 30, 2023! Their ramen and other Japanese food are great! I should go there again someday!
The food here was great! Well seasoned hot and exactly what I was wanting. Huge portions so you will be leaving full. I saw them offering take out that looked just as good as what we got by dining in.
At the front counter they also have some Japanese snacks and drinks available. Pricing was spot on in my opinion.
Overall I would highly recommend them as a MUST EAT! for people asking for suggestions.
Solid noodle bar for ramen and soba. Also had a spicy tuna roll which was decent.
Broth was very flavorful.
I had mega buta ramen, brand new dish just added to their menu. It was very good. It's all pork, but three different styles of cooking in one bowl. A bit salty to my taste but not too much of an issue for me. I got the Large size so it's $23 total, regular is $20-$21. And it's a lot of food.
I was looking for somewhere with vegetarian options, and couldn't find anywhere, so I was on my way to Taco Bell, when this place caught my eye from the street. I pulled in, and sure enough they had vegan options!!
I ordered the vegan ramen, and though it tastes absolutely nothing like traditional ramen, it was still pretty good. It had a buttery tasting broth, which was very unexpected, but paired well with the grilled veggies. The dish is pretty rich and filling.
My partner and I come here all the time. The vegan mushroom eggplant and pork katsu curries are our go-to. The food is always delicious and we can share a side of their spicy mix. That stuff is seriously spicy, not for the faint of heart. If you’ve never had their spicy mix before, I recommend getting it on the side and adding it in to your taste.
Good food and quick service. Setup is a bit odd but overall it's a good place to check out for Japanese styles of food like ramen, onigiri, curry, and udon. All were good. Looking forward to the tantanmen next.
