Reviews of Eegee's

Eegee's is another Tucson local staple. They've been around since 1971, and I have been going ever since I was a tot. I will always love their Lemon Eegee the best. My favorite sandwich is the Original Grinder. Their fries are the Best in the West, make sure you ask for their ranch to dip your fries in, which is great too!

I mean if you’re from Tucson, you know the original grinder is good (If you do order the grinder ask for extra grinder toppings). The hot dog? You’re insane. Or you are so high that the meatball sub is actually flavorful. But the fries…. The fries are the real show stopper. Dunk them in that gate kept ranch and it’s heaven.

My boyfriend always gets an eegee whenever he visits Tucson, and as a Canadian, I never had any idea what the heck he was talking about. I finally understood when I got the chance to try it myself this past Christmas. It's like a smoothie/frozen fruit drink that you need a spoon to eat with for the first few hours, then swap to a straw as it melts. I like how it's not quite like a snow cone/shaved ice because the flavour is consistent throughout the treat. I enjoyed my Holly Berry flavour but I think I liked my boyfriend's strawberry one more because there were small chunks of strawberry in his. I went back the following week to try the pina colada flavour but I wasn't as fond of it because I wasn't expecting bits of coconut in it, although I liked the pineapple bits. The price was ridiculously good considering the massive cups they're served in. Their ranch for the fries were surprisingly good too! Apparently it's a house-made dressing.

I NEED to give Drew a major shout-out!!! I messed up my order and overspent the $20 cash I brought with me. Instead of giving me attitude or taking items off my order, he spotted me $2! This extra customer service is rare and should be acknowledged!! Drew and his team got my son and I on our way with no wait!!! I will be back. Drew, I owe you! Thank you
