My wife and I have been going there for years. Actually the owner and I were probably around 35 years old when we first started going to his restaurant. Which I am 70 now. My wife and I both ordered the corned beef Reuben sandwiches with Swiss on marble rye. I got one with sauerkraut and she got hers with coleslaw. The sandwiches were delicious as usual and so large that both of us could only eat half. Brought the other halves home and had them for dinner. Also, congratulations to the guy that has been pouring me my drinks all these years who just turned 100 years old! Highly recommend a trip to Fortunato's Deli.

Ok so my wife and I went on Saturday morning at 10:00am. They don't open till 11:00am. So we were peeking in the windows at the menu just to get an idea and the owner opened the doors and let us in to browse around. They still had an hour till they opened this is customer service. We didn't buy anything I didn't want to inconvience them anymore than necessary. We went back around 3 pm and picked up food for dinner it was great tasting food. I can't wait to go back again and try another sandwich or pasta everything looks so good.

I try to sneak in here for a Ruben whenever possible. The meats are always boar's head so quality control is never an issue, but what noticably separates this deli from it's sub par competition is the level of pride that is on full display with every product that is served across that counter. The food is consistently good, but the service is consistently great. I'd highly recommend a visit.

There is a very good chance you’ll miss this awesome Italian eatery in Tucson Arizona when driving down from the Catalina Highway towards Phoenix. This place was not so crowded when we dropped in for a late afternoon snack, they’re fresh in their prep and that doesn’t mean it takes a long time to be served, the folks behind the counter welcome you and make sure your food is just the way you want it- try the Rueben and preferably have your Rye bread toasted- it’s awesome!! The coleslaw is fresh and I say that because it’s light and not soggy like in some of the other famous delis around town, their choice of cheeses will leave you dumbstruck and spoilt for choice. Their vegetarian sandwich is just as delicious as their regular meat based sandwiches!! We were served in less than 6-8 mins and the dill pickle was crunchy and again not at all soggy!! Thanks to the gold service and the even more awesome food!!

I worked for the Fortunato's in the late 80s. I learned how to make their meatballs by the grandfather. I am, at this moment making them now, although, they are nothing like the Fortunato's meatballs I am so glad to see that they are still in business. I live in CT now, and would love a meatball grinder.

This is the only place I will go for a sandwich. The Mad Italian is too good. Meats and cheese are great quality and portions. You will not be disappointed.

The best Subs in the Tucson area, absolutely. Stellar service! My husband said it’s the best Meatball sub he’s had in decades and I split the large Mad Italian with my sister and I was stuffed. It’s a really nice touch to include a small side so I ordered both kinds of potato salad. Very good. The prices seem high until you unearth what can only be described as a “loaded with meats” sub. It you want delicious sandwiches, this is the place. Amazing!

Fortunato's makes a fantastic sandwich. Tons of cold cuts, a good roll, and the perfect amount of tang in the potato salad.
