Best pizza crust I have ever tasted ! Kudos to Scott and his team. They are starting out with a bang only to get better and better. A big win for the Tucson food scene. Support this place. You will not be disappointed
The pizza is simply out of this world!! You will absolutely love anything that you order off the menu!! I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!!
Remarkable dinner.
The pizza is outstanding (as are the desserts!), but what I really want to add is that the atmosphere is perfection. Cleanly designed tables, the chairs are very comfortable, and the smell the whole time you’re dining is of the oven-roasted pizzas, without it being Smokey. It’s heaven.
The wine I got was crisp and cold, I suspect from their wine list the others are also great options depending on your desires.
The staff was also very friendly - I was dining as 1, which isn’t the most cohesive with their seating set-up, but a spot was found t the community table and I never felt I was encroaching on other diners.
We ate here for our anniversary and had the best experience! We ordered the salad, marinara pizza, and bianca pizza with mushrooms, and they were all incredible (especially the salad—the flavors were surprising but so good). We ended with the lemon tart and it was amazing. The service was the best and the ambiance makes the experience feel so intimate and laid-back. We will be recommending Anello to everyone :)
I been wanting to check this restaurant for a while. The best pizza in tucson! The wine selection is wonderful. We ordered a vegetables appetizer and we really liked! The pizza was delicious.
Outstanding gourmet pizzas, but don’t overlook the seasonal veggies or daily salad and definitely order the amazingly satisfying focaccia, topped with creamy ricotta and red pepper jam. Tucson is lucky to have this gem. Don’t be put off by the small kitchen, it serves big flavors!
Delicious wood-fired pizza! The Bianca and Verde were amazing, and I love that we could order the pizza and have it brought across the street to Crooked Tooth Brewery.
Finding the place is a slight challenge but Google knows how to get you from your parking spot to the unmarked front door. If the sun is setting, you can find it under the red light.
The pizzas we choose were made with the most amazing dough and each of them were unique in their flavors. Dessert was a special ricotta cheesecake with tangerine drizzle that's not on the regular menu.
Highly recommended from these Canadian visitors.
One of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had. Salad and focaccia were top notch as well however I will come and eat the whole pie of that chocolate tart! Everything was damn good and tasty!
Fair warming, only about 30 seats total and hard to find (name not on the building), so come early, email the team for a reservation, or be willing to wait!
This is the best pizza in AZ hands down! Ordered the Bianca and it was breathtaking. It’s an Italian pie with a perfect crust, a little sweetness, then it hits you with creaminess of the ricotta and then just the perfect amount of spice to have you back for another slice. Well worth the wait and the aesthetic inside even adds to the charm of this phenomenal establishment
Oh Anello… simple perfection. I’m a huge fan of restaurants that have small menus with a handful of items they just knock out of the park and Anello is a perfect example. You can really see, feel, and taste the craftsmanship and commitment to their art. We’ve visited about 6 times in the last year since moving to Tucson. Anello is a small and intimate restaurant with just a handful of tables in front of an open kitchen. The seasonal vegetable plate and salad are always artfully composed and just delicious. The pizzas are magic…I’d say the best pizza in Tucson (and there are A LOT of Italian restaurants and pizzerias in Tucson). The ingredients are fresh and high quality. It’s apparent that the chef has a seasoned skill when it comes to preparing and firing the dough for the pizzas. Along with the food, they have a nicely curated selection of wines and amaros/digestifs. Tucson is so lucky to have such a special place!
Tried the Verde pizza with sausage added, the focaccia and two of their red wines. Delicious, one of our all time favorite pizzas. Interior is minimalist but still warm. No signage outside, but had a cool red light at night. They take reservations by email which are a good idea; the seating space is small and they sold out of pizza dough by ~6:45pm on a Tuesday. You can hang out at Crooked Tooth next door while you wait or even take the pizza over there.
