Delicious food, loved our server. Will definitely return! My husband and I used the grill option, very fun and delicious. My son had the sushi and was equally pleased
Great food huge menu .....owner was there working the room!
Lived in Tucson a very long time and we have never tried it. Twice recently someone recommended it, so we had to try it. The sushi was so good and fresh!.... Everything was fresh! The Baby Octupus was all my husband, I wasn't even interested in it. I ended up trying it and it was so good! One bite perfectly battered and friend octopus. Bomb. We went strictly for sushi this time, but while reviewing the menu we noticed it is definitely a place that serves so much more. Our none loving sushi child could come out to eat with is and find something else on the menu with ease. The loss of one is simply for the restaurant itself. For such an established place, I would expect the decor, seating, paint, etc. to be updated and dusted a little more often. Looking around while dining in was my least favorite part.
The whole team of chefs cater to you. This restaurant is chill and relaxed. they have table cookers right at your large family tables . one of my favorite rolls is the 6-22 roll, it is spicy, hot, and on fire as my photos say it all.
I tried this place for the first time. They have the option of the regular menu, the BBQ area, and the sushi bar. We went with the regular menu. First, it is a bit dark in there but besides that everything else was nice. We ordered Korean food. I am hosting a student from Korea and she said it tasted just like it does back home. She was very pleased and excited. Second, the dishes are huge. I eat a alot and I wasn't able to finish my dish. Third, it is expensive but like I said the dishes are huge and they are delicious. So it is well worth the price.
I came for the Korean BBQ experience, no sushi or regular service. The options are good, the tables/grill clean. I ordered my kids the children’s chicken teriyaki, they ate it all up, but didn’t touch the rest of the bento box (edamame nor gyoza). For me and my parents, we ordered the kalbi, beef bulgogi, and pork belly (thick cut). The kalbi and bulgogi had a good marinade on them, but the pork belly had no flavor. The sides were good portion, cheese corn had flavor, included rice, and the amount of meat was good for us three (we had leftovers to bring home too). Besides the lack of flavor for the pork belly, the other reason I deducted a star was bc when they charged our card, it was for another table’s ticket and couldn’t cancel the transaction and ended up charging our card again to cover the difference of our ticket. The server was kind to my kids, she also found chocolate syrup to put on their ice cream. And I understand what other reviewers meant when the servers don’t come by often but you see a lot of them standing around. I’d still come back though. Compared to the other KBBQ down the street, their all you can eat there portions are tiny and take forever to serve, while here you order and it serves a party.
Waitstaff and hostesses are extremely casual in demeanor and dress. Do not go here for a "nice" evening out. It draws a loud ill-mannered Tucson crowd (trying to be polite). Restaurant is divided into a section for grill tables and one for sushi bar and normal tables. My party sat at grill table. Ordered 2 pcs of nigiri: exellent! Ordered marinated boneless short ribs, bulgogi, and scallops: better than average, but marinade should be slightly thicker for better coating. Sides were average. Their ventilation overhead doesn't keep up with grills like other grill restaurants. You will leave with skin and clothes smelling of grease and meats. Will return to try other half of restaurant and update review.
I've never had bad sushi here! They have great variety and even specialty items like abalone. The prices are very reasonable too. If you want to get something out of the ordinary and fun, get the 622 roll, they serve it on aluminum foil surrounded by fire! 🔥
I can't give it 5 stars because I've been there a few times and the quality of service varies, but it's definitely worth the visit - I typically get sushi, but I look forward to trying their Korean BBQ.
Plenty of room, decent atmosphere and above all ABSOLUTELY AMAZING CUISINE! I highly recommend the Korean BBQ especially the Spicy Pork Bulgogi. It was super tender and melted in my mouth, it was also very well marinated. I have been to various KBBQ places before both in Tucson and other places across the country and I can say that this is the restaurant that I consider to do it the best!
It isn’t all you can eat, but our party of 3 was able to get full while still paying a reasonable price anyways. If you haven’t tried KBBQ before, this is a great place to try it.
Their steak and fried rice is always reliable. Sushi has never been bad here for me either. The table service often leaves something to be desired but the same can be said for most places I'd say.
I was a little skeptical of this place as I am with all Asian food but this place was great! Severity was great but my favorites were the cucumber kimchi, radish garnish (I think) and the japchae! If you're ever in the area and would like some Korean BBQ, this place won't disappoint!😋
The food is always amazing!!! I dream of their sushi. My husband always orders the Bulgogi, it's yummy. This time we also ordered an appetizer of deep fried octopus which was great also!
